Yeah, they like start from the front and all spike back to the end of the gun! Very cool animation! Halo ce had some great animations for it being 2001! Also, i remember when there was needler ammo, crystal blob looking pickups in that one level, then never really seen again! 😅😆

CE needler will always be my favorite. The visceral melee animation, the reload animation, the cool blue lighting in the crystals, the purple lighting shining from the needle holes, the color of the gun. Something about the first game overall was just special.

The first time I ever saw Halo was from a broadcast of a Halo 2 Tournament on G4 as a little kid. I remember everyone fighting over the Needler so I constantly saw it. The design of it blew little me's mind and to this day, the Needler is still the most iconic weapon in the series imo

The overall sound design was much better in Halo 1. Human Gunfire had a low bass sound to it and the plasma weapons had the "chfff" sound that had bass to it as well. Then after that all of a sudden... all the weapons went pew pew and human gun fire sounded like rattling a tin can. Best comparison of sound quality degradation I can make is Halo CE is the prev gen MW and as Halos progressed, they turned into Black Ops.

@@leliberateur its not . compare spirit landing ship of halo 1 with that of halo 5 . look at all the new covenant ships and look at all the modern looking designs that are worthy to be from that date . halo 1 feels like alien movie because it have 90s aesthetic and that doesnt make sense to me . the art direction tried to modernize halo but nostalgics cried about it . finally the needle gun of halo 5 is actually the best in this list for logical reason . thats what a glass bullet will sound like if fired from a smooth tube (go watch the sound a tea bubble fired from a straw) . the previous ones sound potato fired from a gas gun with a weird wistling added to it similar to that of arrows but the halo 5 one have a more realistic sound to what a glass bullet might sound like .

With halo 4 most criticism is silly and based around nostalgia or taste . "I dont hate the sound of this gun " "I don't want my beloved cortana go rogue because i love her" "I dont want a cool modern spartan armor or cool convenant ship i want the boring bricks from bungie halo " "I don't want new enemies , halo is about Halo and convenants so how dare you expand on the lore!" These are the main criticism i hear past 10 years . 0 of them make sense . This makes you literally a bunch of toxic spoiled babies of cardboard 'fans' .
