I get the feeling you listen to jazz while you work, and you don’t add a soundtrack later. Am I correct? Do you also use a pre-charged can of compressed air instead of having a compressor running all the time? These things contribute to a sense of great calm. Thank you for sharing

Can someone explain to me how he was able to drill and re-thread then get the spark plug to screw in perfectly, I thought the hole would be larger and then cause the spark plug to slip through but it was a perfect match? I hope I'm clear in my question
@SupRec4 жыл бұрын
He used a kind of spring which has a inside thread that fits to the spark and outside that fits to the thread he drilled

If you set the end float of the rockers correctly with feeler gauges the engine will run much quieter

I think what he did there was drilled a larger hole, tapped it, and the "recoil" kit he used is a sleeve like a nut with thread also on the outside. Screwed and secured the sleeve onto the new tapped hole and have a thread for the spark plug in there.

Hell of a job to do! I'm about to pull out my 4cyl engine out of the frame, for a similar job. Time-sert (Wurth) or Helicoil ? What would you recommend? Is it going to hold up against 13000rpm harmonics and 12something to 1 compression ratio?

Is that a push rod engine? Damn! I just realised you dont need to set any timing when you remove the head.
Don't mean to be negative on such a beautiful video but that head will crack. The head is aluminium and the recoil is stainless with different heat expansion abilities.
