ASMR POV Trucking: US-15 S in Pennsylvania

Episode one of my POV ridealong series, and also the first driving video on the channel! Come relax with me as we leave the Lowe's in Mansfield, PA and get on US-15 South in north central PA! US-15 has very quickly earned its place as my favorite highway in PA, the scenery is very beautiful to have rolling by and its even more fun to drive while loaded. I would have thought they'd get rid of all the Prostars by now. Miss mine. That maxxforce needed rev-matching 2 gear to 8th on descents more than 6%. That I don't miss. The LT has the variable turbo felt like it drops two gears in 9th

I have a 17, the jake on this truck is so weak it's unbelievable and I have it on the highest setting. Downgrades are so painful for me I feel like I have to ride the brake sometimes just to get it woed down. They actually are ditching all these 17 Prostars at the end of the year so I'll have a newer truck soon. They only have some of them still kept around cause the warranties on them haven't expired yet.

@@LifeintheHammerLane maximum back pressure is at 2100 rpm on that engine. It has good engine break, you just have to catch it on the rev-match. The governor makes it stupid. I The maxxforce is old school twin-turbo. So you have to downshift twice, cause 1500 rpm is not enough engine hp break for 80k lbs on 6% or greater. You'll smoke your brakes.
