Her channel is criminally underrated because.....We live in a society that has been intentionally designed and socially engineered to weaken our resolve and conviction by wearing us down mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This can effectively result in the meeker, weaker, sheeple people effectively having their quasi-spirits dragged down into the sphere of society's own lower base nature. All the while the original aristocratic theomorphic souls are left submerged in this quagmire of counterfeit conscious and made to feel guilty by the aforementioned rabble to not feel inclined to take credit for their own natural, innate, inherent greatness and instead are made to feel guilty for it. The residual DNA; AKA lethargic lobotomized lemmings; along with their counterparts, the dehumanized degenerate delinquents then take the credit for the ideas and the concepts originated from the genius in an inverted social order resembling an inverted masonic pyramid in which the genius is being made to hold up the dead weight of the voting cattle masses.

Eh! I just listened to the entire score yesterday and being terribly sad that I would not be able to attend a performance this year. It’s like you read my mind! Thank you and a very merry Christmas to you!

My dad started taking me to see this ballet every single year on my birthday, since I was 10. I'm going to miss it this year because of the pandemic, but this is a nice substitute

Wonderful research and absolutely beautiful narration! I danced in several productions of The Nutcracker when I was little but never knew about its history… learning all of that helps me feel so connected to the past! Thank you so much for this! : )

This ballet is worth it IMO. I never liked dance or was good but my sister was talented. She was Clara. I was the mouse who got to attack her. It was fun. 😂😂. I enjoyed the nutcracker as a story so much.

It is a really extraordinary story - quite trippy, in some ways, but well-worth a read!

I wonder what was the difference between the first ballet version and the Balanchine version? He seems to have added plot? What specifically? Thank you for a great history story!!

Well, funnily enough, I watched both versions over the Christmas holidays - or as close as I could get. Obviously, there's no filmed version of the original, but the Royal Ballet production prides itself on using the original Ivanov choreography - which is as close to the original as any of us can manage, these days! And there's a screen recording of the NYC production, which was made in the early 1990s (and features a very young Macaulay Culkin!) that uses Blanchine's original choreography from his production. Having watched both of them, a few days apart, I would say that you're absolutely right - the Balanchine version has a more complex plot (relatively speaking - although the second half of both productions has very little plot indeed). But in the first act, there is more of a chemistry between Clara and Drosselmeyer's nephew - and he has a more active role in comforting Clara, after her brother has broken the Nutcracker. I found both versions interesting to watch... but wouldn't it be wonderful to travel in time and discover exactly what happened in the original production?!
