Just a thought--I know this is an older video, now it seems like the last comment left was about 2 years ago, but--have you ever thought about finding a way to auction the items you use in your videos, without it revealing who you are, or where you live? Meaning--I don't know if you want to auction them on ebay, but auctioning them online--I bet people would pay tons of $$ to have a Mary ASMR character item! I have a friend who photographs other women for positive message post cards. She dresses the women up like they are from the 40's or 50's and takes pictures of them. When she's done, she always auctions off the items from the shoot--and because people love her art, they pay top dollar to have an item from one of her shoots. Just an idea! Love your videos Mary.

I keep coming back to this video. There's a couple that you have done just on the back of you being unwell and I honestly think you sound better somehow .the other one is the super fan/make up artist. Ebay used to protect the sellers, but now it's all about the deadbeat buyers. I couldn't tell you how many times I've had to cancel an order because someone won but "put the wrong price in" or "it was an accident bid." I no longer grant those. Even people who BIN have stopped paying and asked to cancel their BIN! Seriously?! I still love it, but the catalyst for all of these issues was when they made it so that sellers couldn't leave negative feedback for the buyer. Why should the buyer care if they can't even get negative feedback for being a deadbeat buyer?!

+Joseph Mama It really ticked me off several years ago when they removed the option for sellers to leave negative (or even neutral) feedback for bidders. Like you said, they protect the buyers, but not the sellers. It needs to be a two-way street if they want people to continue selling on their site. Most of my auctions now are Buy-It-Now, requiring payment before they can complete the transaction. I got so sick of people bidding, winning, and then disappearing without paying. It's a HUGE waste of my time.

+MaunRHash Thanks for the recommendation! I left out some stuff, which I didn't realize until after I'd uploaded the video. I was going to talk about online shipping, which is a huge time saver. Long story short, you don't have to go to the post office to mail stuff if you don't want to. You can click & ship directly through ebay and schedule a pick-up for free. I do it all the time. My mail carrier HATES me!

You actually don't need a credit card to sell on eBay. It can be a debit card. I'm not sure if that's what you meant. I've been selling for 7 or 8 years now. I will stop for a few months and then once I😀 get on a roll selling again it's kind of addictive.

You can't even sell on eBay anymore w/o a Paypal account. Occasionally I've had references to paying by Check or Money Order in an ad and it gets flagged by them everytime before you can even get the ad up.

Id like to sell items on Ebay. The only confusion I have, is about the Paypal. I mean, how does it work? Once your item sells, does the buyers money transfer to your bank account? Can anyone explain that? lol 😱 All I need to do is set up a Paypal. But would like to know, if or how it works, and if and how I can get the money into my hands lol.
