ASMR scene - Dustin Hoffman in Perfume: The Story of a murderer (2006)

Here we see the great perfumer Giuseppe Baldini (played wonderfully by Dustin Hoffman) analysing a new scent released by an adversary perfumer. It's a strange and delicate break in the tempo of the film where we get to see the other side of Baldini's publicly blunt and self centred character; a worried and ageing perfumer willing to acknowledge that he is being outclassed by the competition.
I chose this scene as an ASMR video because of the effete and delicate nature of the movements, the perfect muted sounds and the method acting provided by Hoffman. I think the videos a little bumpy, it looks a lot smoother on official recordings. Its a film worth watching.
I do not claim any rights over this content. I am merely uploading the clip to demonstrate how excellent the acting is, and have no intention or plan to monetize or benefit from this video in any other manner.

Remember the dialogue they talk about Pharaoh's secret essence that last long? That's real old natural wild Oud/Agarwood. As unknown to Europe/Western world. And famous in Middle East and Africa but it's not their native, cannot grow there. Hindia or Hind in Arabic الهند is not India but Indonesia, as real Hindia the center was and still is Indonesia on The Equator line, as significant remaining is India. Hindia or Atlantis was from Indonesia (Greek words: Indo and Nesos meaning Islands of Natives) all the way to East Europe/Balkan and Mediterranean. Batak of Bulgari is the same as Batak of Sumatra Indonesia. Our Ancestors has migrated around the world including Indo Persian, Indo American, etc before Toba supervolcano (bigger than Yellowstone USA) erupted 74000 years ago results today world's largest volcanic lake; Toba lake Sumatra with diameter around 100 kilometers. Hindia later became Hindu but today Hindu isn't the original Hindu used to be and Hindu. Sumatra, Sumatera, Sumer Tera, Summer and Gold and Land, Land of Gold. Land of Sumer, Mother of Sumeria. Remember I shared about Sumerian ancient statue of a Mother/Goddess and shape as our Minangkabau Sumatra Traditional Palace and house. And scale of Indonesia is wrong on the world map since 1569 (Mercator) while the accurate scale of Indonesia should be larger than Europe and Middle East combined. Real size of Indonesia to put unto Europe is stretching from London UK to Moscow Russia. That's why Indonesia has 3 timezones: GMT +7, +8, +9. Even our "small" Jakarta is 6 times size of Paris, Europe's largest city. PS: Why European were so much into wigs? because they hardly took a bath, but only applying talk powder contained dangerous mercury, and wearing lots of perfume, without exception Marie Antoinette (they were filthy dirty literally, remember the history of high heels birth? as because human feces were everywhere, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Vienna, etc were filthy cities) and that's why they were weak and suffered from plagues. That's some part of history of perfume world.

You can tell the Tym, the director, was so enthralled and passionate about this project. There are shots and sequences in this film that are so beautiful that they should be blown up and examined with a magnifying glass. The orgy at the end is beautiful in it's conception and execution. The film suddenly elevates itself to a legend.

@alexanderfreiman2604

What happens is that, in the perfume bottles everything is concentrated inside it and that makes it difficult to separate the ingredients from which the perfume is made, the perfumers of that time used handkerchiefs (I don't know if they continue to do this procedure today) and these when moistening with the perfume the essences that make up the perfume were released one by one, it sounds something strange but that's the way it is 🤔💐🌹🌸

No whistling lips, strong pronunciations of the letter "S"...as if one were to say snake, no sounds that break the comfort line. Just a man grumbling with a soft spoken tone in a quiet room...but I must say the music kinda spoils it. ( A great Dustin Hoffman asmr moment is in the film "finding neverland" that is a treat).

I don't think that's what he was after. He was looking for the more generalised smell of "woman". He's mistaking love for the smell of a woman. He wants to sniff women because he can't get with one. Basically he's an incel mass murderer.
