So this video is for primary dysmenorrhea- with that being said I immediately jumped to that diagnosis for the purpose of this being an ASMR video. Please remember this is NOT an accurate visit if going in with concerns of painful periods- more questions/work up would normally be done. But for the simplicity aspect- I went straight to the point. Hope you all enjoyed 💜

How similar is dysmenorrhea to menorrhagia? This was very similar to what I go through but I was diagnosed with menorrhagia, not saying I was misdiagnosed I’m just curious as they both sound alike. Love these videos btw, very informative and interesting to watch. Not to mention relaxing😌

Seriously I've always known that there might be something wrong because it literally feels like my entire uterus is being ripped out numerous times. Thanks Leanna, i don't know what it is about your videos but they seem to help soothe me a lot, not just in this situation but almost always. It's really refreshing in a way. I wish my doctors would be this thorough. Anytime I mention period pain and ibs/abdominal pain outside of my period, they just mention birth control. Which is fine, but they never offer any other options outside of that. Nobody has even offered to check for endo or anything. And now I’m over 26 and don’t have insurance anymore, so idk if any of this costs a lot to check for or not 😭

I loved being on the pill. I had such painful periods that I’d end up in the ER sometimes. Birth control fixed everything! Unfortunately I’m not allowed to take it anymore because I had a stroke and that’s what the doctors claim caused it. I was on it for 8 years before this happened. I don’t know how much I believe that the birth control caused because of how long I was on it. Was it suddenly like “oh just kidding! Let’s give this girl a stroke!”…. Obviously I’m not bitter about it or anything 🤣 it’s just frustrating.

I remember when I first started my period, I never had cramps at all but I would bleed heavy. Now that I’m 20, (maybe about 2-3 years ago) I noticed I started to get more cramps and my bleeding has gotten heavier/irregular. I went on birth control to help with my irregular bleeding because I went 6 months without a period. I noticed that while taking the BC my periods became even heavier, and the cramping pain got worse. I’m not sure why😔 and what sucks now is I’m bleeding between periods. From June 12-July 15 I was bleeding. And currently from august 7 I am still bleeding. My gyne suggested I may have PCOS but she hasn’t diagnosed me yet.
