Ah i hate when you’re new at a job and they literally get angry at you for not knowing what you’re doing when they haven’t told you what to do… like i’m literally new what do they expect?? I used to work so hard at my last job and all they’d do is complain that I was never doing enough, I feel like a lot of places just see you as a robot and don’t appreciate the hard work and effort you put in. Hope you find a job that’s right for you soon though :)

hey Keegan! just wanted to share some thoughts based on what you said: 1. working hard doesn’t necessarily mean working smart. employers will want people who can do both i.e. have a great work ethic, but can also deliver 2. if there’s something you’re not happy with, try to find a solution first before making the decision to leave. that way, even if it still doesn’t work out, at least you can say you tried :) (as you said, communication is also important here) these jobs are learning experiences. i hope you find a new job that you’re happy with!

@@Colinjefferymosesshippclark you obviously don't know how applying for jobs works you don't just turn up and say oi give me a job and that's it, you have to fill out an application form and sent them your cv/resame (a peice of paper that tells them every job you have worked and what education you have) they look at those and then decide weather or not they think you are qualified or worth their time they then invite you in for an interview If they see that he had a bunch of random jobs that his only stuck with for a few weeks that dosnt look good as it shows either 1) he is not a good person to work with, 2) he has commitment issues and dosnt want to stick to one place for a long period of time, the employer will only see the negatives and won't care what the reasons behind those, if he dosnt put them on there that still looks bad as it's just empty time that they will look at as okey what's he been doing during that time if his not been working studying again its just an empty time frame that dosnt look good as it makes it look like he has not been doing anything and that can bring up the question of okey is this guy lazy or is he hiding something from us, either way that's an automatic red flag for any employer to see an employer wants to see is that you are a valuable person who is going to stick with their company for the long run and are qualified or ready to be trained to do what ever it is they require you to do The employer will judge you based apon what they see on that paper long before they have even met you, what is on that paper is important as if its a load of crap no one cares about you ain't getting any interviews where as if its relavent and depicts you as being a hard worker then your chances of getting an interview go up

Second believe it or not you aren't required to list everything on your resume or even tell the full truth (don't lie everyone pads out their resume..). Lastly the only thing you can ask former employers is "did this person work here and was this their title" You can't legally ask anything else or opinions on said person.. and this is even if they call them which most places don't because it doesn't tell you anything.. Not to mention after COVID if you really think job hopping is a red flag you would never find a new employee. It's 2023 and the new generations job hop.. this isn't 1920. As someone who has worked in staffing for 12 years, you are the one who has no idea how the real world works..

I’ve had many jobs I’m just like you I want to know details about what I’m to do. What I’ve learned is as long as you show them you want to work they’ll work with you. When you’re new you’re gonna be the bottom of the totem pole nobody wants to help you they want to see if you’re capable of the work before they accept you as part of the crew. You ask questions if you don’t know you step up if something needs done and do it don’t ask if you should. I literally hate my job and most of the people I have to work with but I do my part to get the job done and show as little initiative as needed to let my boss know I’m worthy of paying lol there’s tons of people ready to do a job if you don’t you’re always replaceable. This is exactly how it was when I started my job at the hospital I had 4 weeks probationary period and my ward manager said can I have a word and basically said I don’t think this job is right for you I said why? He said because you don’t use your initiative enough and not to be rude but you don’t use common sense sometimes. Then he said staff members have said some things to him about me like not doing enough and taking too long on break etc which wasn’t true. I was so upset I went hope feeling so depressed and that I was gonna quit but I came back stronger and told him what I think and I proved everyone wrong and now I’m still working here 8 months later.

I used to work at jam factory, at first was ok, it was physical hard, but i didn't mind it. I lift every day about 9 tons sugar and fruit, and in the factory was really hot beacuse of cooking the jam. And for me, every day was really hot, i am person that was always hot, and i need to drink water bc my mouth was dry, the boss was always counting me how many times i drinked water, i usually go once in 2 hours, and she start asking questions about going to drink water too much, i was in shock, but okay. One day someone closed all windows and the heat filled in factory and i was start to fell sick, beacuse there was not fresh air, i go to bathroom and trow up. When you work in pair with someone you shouldn't have a conversation with him even if you are working and doing your job normally. I am a smoker, and it was forbidden to smoke outside factory, even if i am on lunch break. They treats us like robots there, and then i quit that job. Thankfully now i have job where is better payment, i can talk with my co workes, and joking, while our boss is with us, i can smoke anytime i want. And i like my job, i work here now for 2 Years and i am really happy. So Keegan this is my story, don't worry you will find a job where you will fit in team, you are still young, you will have a plenty of jobs in your life. Sorry for my bad english i hope that you understant what i want to tell, english is my second language.
