I watched the first weight loss video and it just helped me for a day, because it's really easy to want to eat more when my parents and my sister eat a lot, in my mind I know "I'm not hungry anymore, it's already enough", but the thought that "I need more" is always there. I have a real problem with overeating, and this is what has helped me the most so far. Now I need this more than ever because I'm planning to start going to the gym!

I listened to this and the next day I consciously forgot about it for the most part, but I had a breakdown that made me address my insecurities I have about my body type and after venting to my sister about it (we had a constructive conversation) we both went for a walk with my mom and I ended up creating a detailed goal/vision board thing and I'm about to sleep when I remembered that I fell asleep to this last night - it was very cathartic and I feel like I'm finally ready to change, for good, to finally feel the way I identify

Try doing something that will distract you or will distance you from food. Go for a walk, exercise, play a game. And drink water/tea, it helps me a lot. Good luck!

My weight gain is due to medical conditions. Specifically hypothyroidism and PCOS. This week I'm going to get tested for Cushing's and possibly endometriosis. I used to be 115 lbs at 5'7". I gained 100lbs in 2.5 months. Life is a beast right now.

You need to take iodine 5% two drops in some water first thing in the morning. Wait at least 5 min to eat or take any other vit. Also take Selenium to activate it in less than two hours after taking iodine. It will regulate tour thyroid. I used to suffer big with it as well. Give it a try you'll notice a difference in couple of days already as your methabolism will start to go back on track=accelerate.

I learned recently hormone imbalances cause specific body fat type (where your body stores its most fat), I was looking up stuff on adrenal and thyroid imbalances, and last night I was reading articles about the direct correlation between PCOS and hypothyroid, as well as insulin resistance. Some things I've read and heard before, but it's not necessarily "common" knowledge. Will write my update when I have a safe space to actually participate. I’ve STRUGGLED with food my entire life. Have been through intense bulimia, still struggle with it here and there. Nothing brings me joy and simultaneously, self loathing, like food. It’s a ridiculous problem to have and I’m so. so. pissed. at myself for constantly overeating and wanting more mere minutes later. It’s pathetic. Also pissed that food can even be an issue in the first place. Having food shouldn’t be a struggle, starvation is a struggle, war is, chronic disease is. But here I am. With my first world problem. So annoying.

This is exactly why eating more than we need becomes a way of coping because it is so enjoyable, because it engages our senses so comprehensively.
