yep, i found the sound of that keyboard very satisfying too, the thing is, that in the 80s, imagine an office full with these old mechanical keyboards, the sound was a hell for the workers, my mom said that when they change the old mech keyboards with membrane ones it was like heaven due to non existant sound

Back before we had ram sizes of 64 gigabytes, before 2 terabytes of ssd storage, before RGB…. Computers were bulky and underpowered back then. And the worst part is, they weren’t even upgradable, because custom pcs weren’t a thing yet.

Funfact on the titanic a nice thing passengers usually fell asleep to was the hum of the ships engines and this is very true on ships and I used titanic cause this fact is commonly said that the sudden abrupt stop if the engines hum started some alarm bells for passengers

I fucken loved Microsoft Word on the beige Mac in 1990.

Very few people realize that Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint were written specifically for the Mac and ran only on that machine for years!

While Microsoft did release versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Macintosh early on, they were initially developed for both Macintosh and Windows platforms simultaneously. Microsoft Word, for example, was first released for MS-DOS in 1983 and then for Macintosh in 1985. Excel was initially released for Macintosh in 1985 and then for Windows in 1987. PowerPoint was first released for Macintosh in 1987 and then for Windows in 1990. So, while these applications have a long history of being available on Macintosh, they were not exclusively developed for that platform.

@@crazypete8888 I do own lot of Matias keyboard the tactile pro 3 with Fukka switches I thought it’s sound like Alps SKCC switches on an IBM Pingmaster but with click leaf sound in it too. The mini tactile though does sound a little closer to the SKCM switches. I don’t think I will ever go back to my first mechanical keyboard ever again which is a Logitech G710 which I got after my dad do not want to buy me a Dell AT101 because "it’s too old"
