ASMR Wood sanding (NO TALKING)

In this video, I'm sanding a couple of wooden blocks left from a previous home improvement project. This video is for those who like more consistent sounds.

Me too! I would go into a trance as a kid when people would fidget with things like pencils or makeup etc. I thought I was just a weirdo too. I was stunned when I heard about ASMR for the first time!

now THIS feels right. only 20+ mins long, but I didn't even reach half of it before falling asleep. I knew that was the best sleep i've had for a long time because I woke up with my mouth open and some ugly drool at the side of my face.

My dog got bitten by a jerk dog, and is down healing, and he loves sanding sounds. I was watch a restoration video about fixing old toys and tools, and there he was behind my computer chair enjoying the sounds of sanding. Grinding and high-pitched noises make him leave, and right now he needs to be on his side and not licking the little hole on the side of his leg. He LOVES this, and now I can clean the house without worrying too much about him licking the wound. More people should calm their dogs with this kind of sound, and stop playing music that humans find soothing because our furred friends are not us.

When I was in high school, people in my class hated sanding the wood. Me in the other side would sand as hard as I can to make the wood as smooth as possible

not soothing when you are sanding the wood incorrectly. when sanding wood, you must sand in the direction of the wood lines. if you do it in circles you're only making things worse.

Tell me you don’t understand ASMR without telling me you don’t understand ASMR. He isn’t trying to create a masterpiece… he is creating SOUND. Many of us find the different variations of sound quite soothing. We are not judging the direction in which he is sanding the wood pieces. We are just enjoying the sounds of the different rhythms.
