@@WhisperedDelightsASMR the real key is to search for UASMR is by adjusting your search to find Playlists. I search through folk's playlists and try to find clips that the other channels haven't "discovered" yet. Highly Recommend. :)

I read all of my books using an adjustable foam cradle, acid-free bookmark, and a collection of mardi gras beads. Keep your Kindles. This is the only way to read. I'm trying to design a portable cradle so I can finally read my books on the go.

I’m 100% using my Mardi Gras beads as a book snake from here on out. My absolute favourite part of university was my time in the climate controlled rare books room, a beautiful vault. The oldest book I had the pleasure of using for my final paper on Mary Queen of Scots was from the 16th Century 🖤

Nope, gloves reduce tactile sensation making it easier to mishandle or tear pages. His hands are no doubt freshly washed. Source: me, an actual collections manager and curator.

@@deadhardy Gloves can actually do more harm than good. They can stick to old pages, causing them to rip. And in general they make it harder to be delicate with pages so they're more likely to rip.

No. That results in reduced sensation and makes damaging the pages more likely. Rare books should never be handled while wearing gloves.
