Damn, that's a lot of love in that Lannister army, not just the models but the seamless and diverse composition of the bases is beautiful.

It was truly a blast playing against him and finally meet him one on one after all the events that we played and were on together. Hopefully next time the dice will go a bit more into my favor and I can take the W against him haha.

I watched this and your last BatRep back to back. And this game was so much better. The game against Martell felt really weird because I thought all the time that your opponent was actively talking you into bad decisions. The Lannister player's attitude on camera, his army and the game in general were really enjoyable though.

Jeroen: Hi there , first off thanks for the comment. Secondly I can understand why you thought that. So to give you a bit off info about both games. So the Martell game against Johannes at Helsinki was fun , but first I wasn’t feeling that well and secondly I just didn’t had fun playing with those lists up there. I didn’t had that much experience with them and well that list sounded quite nice on paper but, wasn’t that great in reality. When I returned I reflected a bit on what when wrong and what I could have done differently. So I decided to jump back to my true love in Baratheon and that is Stannis. So I played with this list in Stirling + my other Stannis list that you are going to see in the next Battle Reports. Nevertheless I am happy to hear that you enjoyed this one a lot and well to be frankly it is always happy to have genuine people on the channel. I think for Chris but also for Johannes it was an experience and both of them did there best in aiding me to make a great video ^^.

GG, well played on both players parts. Good on chris for keeping his head on straight after that opening. Real easy to get tilted and through games when something like that happens.

Well its an incredibly nicely painted Lannister army, very cool bases. Nice Batrep although it didnt help that most of the action was in the darkest tablequarter. I really feel that the suboptimal use of the Lightbringer spelled doom for the Baratheons. Queensmen as brick are fun. But they are a brick and as manoeverable as one. And the moment u see a average Ld 5 Army on the other side...skip mel/jaq.

Jeroen: Hi there , First off thanks for the comment :). Secondly Yeah the lighting wasn’t that great unfortunately but, that was also due to the fact that we were putted in the corner :/. I have reported that to venue and the TO of the event and hopefully next time if I am there I will have a bit better lighting ^^. Concerning the archers I think your right. Maybe I should have deployed them differently but, then again I think personally they did below average due to the shitty rolls they had. Besides Chris kept them out of range most of the time and kept them weakened all the time. If I really wanted to get them anywhere I had to deploy them in a way that they could easily be picked up by one of Chris his units so 🤷‍♂️. Then finally concerning overall LD 5 I think in this matchup it was kinda okay to go with Mel and Jaq :). With the exception of the warriors Sons everything was pretty easy to take with Mel and Jaq since the overall LD was 6 + the battlefield was a bit in my favor with the corpse pile in the middle. Anyhow it was a lot of fun for me and hopefully next time the swing is hopefully going in my way. We hope you enjoyed the video and hopefully see you in the next one ^^.

A nice battle unfortunately a bad day for Baratheons 😞 I think the list with the 2 Champion of the Stags and grandfather Eldon is a better choice

Jeroen: Hi there, thanks for the comment ^^. Unfortunately for this event I didn’t had grandfather Eldon with me :D. I decided after my crusade in Helsinki to bench him and go back to my true love which is Stannis. So for the event itself I have two Stannis list with me. The one you just saw and the one you will see in the upcoming battle reports. However after this event I went back to the drawing board and started to list build again and I think I have a new version of the list were grandfather Eldon is doing his thing again ^^. Anyhow I still hope you enjoyed the video :).Hopefully you will enjoy the next one as well :D.

Ive only tried Mel + Jaq a couple of times and its didnt work out so well.. Its just too much a gamble.. if they make thier panic checks or just have an anti panic list you can really do more damage to yourself.. i love the concept though.. i think 1 Mel is enough to really frustrate someone.. especially if you can wipe a bad morale enemy unit off the map before it does much

Jeroen: Hi there, First off thanks for the comment Mike :). Secondly I think you are absolutely right. The more I play with the two combo the more I get the feeling it isn’t a necessary anymore. Most factions are having good morals these days or they have something that can turn off Mel or Jaquen. At the moment I am trying something new with the faction. It includes only Mel and so far I like it ^^. If I have more experience with the list then I will take it with me on camera ^^.

I had a similar situation this week with Stannis OTK except I got “Hear me Roar”’d on my “Test of Faith” which forced the first To the last 😢 It really feels like Baratheons got gutted by the most recent patch…

Jeroen: Hi there, Yeah we got pretty smashed by the update, however with quite some games under the belt and organizing a few events myself now I can say in all honesty that we aren’t that bad as other factions. Some other factions received the nerf hammer even more and those are really struggling against certain factions 😅. Also their are few factions that truly escalated in this update. Looking to Martells, Nightswatch and Lannister. Nevertheless I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the video once more ^^.
