How I miss the days of Carson. Nobody did it better. I watched this video in its entirety, almost mesmerized by the politeness and decorum that Johnny and Elizabeth had towards each other. Do y'all miss those days as much as I do? Rest in Peace - both Johnny & Elizabeth, you guys were terrific!

Want a shocker? I know her personal physician and the medical examine who did her autopsy. I have seen her medical records and I can honestly say, both from my opinion and from the two of them as well, I've never known another human being to consume so much drugs and Alcohol and not die from it. She consumed more drugs in a single day than most addicts do in a year. Here's the thing, she would have never made it past 30 if she didn't. The amount of physical pain she must of experienced every moment of everyday is astounding. How she didn't die of shock is beyond me. I wish people would be more honest about things like this. More people might be around today if they didn't feel the need to hide and are ashamed by what is required for them to function.

Elizabeth Taylor had a lot of charisma and magic to her...an especially unusual level of glamour...the ability to sort of wrap herself in an aura of elegance, and a sort of royal generosity to go with it. She also let Johnny set himself up, and knocked him out of the park, multiple times! I've never seen another guest gently just zing him repeatedly like that...!!!

She was such an amazing women. No one believes me when I tell them this, but my family was actually quite close with Elizabeth. My grandmother was close friends with her in the 70’s and 80’s. When Elizabeth was married to senator John Warner, they both went over to my mothers house when she was a child, as my grandmother was working his campaign. It was around Christmas time, and Senator Warner asked my mother what she wanted for Christmas. She said that she wanted a telephone, but it was too expensive. WOW, that was her 60th birthday, and she still was absolutely stunning! When I was a younger person, I didn't care too much for Elizabeth Taylor. But, as I got older that changed: I watched her movies and began to understand the characters she played; I began to feel the parts (probably because I'm older & have lived more life). My favorite movie with Elizabeth is "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" - OUTSTANDING movie with a lot of great actors. She's done many other really good movies. Glad I saw this vid clip. RIP Elizabeth Taylor. ❤

This was a pleasant entertaining interview. They both did well interacting with each other. When she first started talking to Carson, the tone of her voice was higher pitched, then it went down to its normal tone. It may have been due to nervousness at first, then she was able to relax and be herself. She comes across with a good sense of humor, and has the ability to laugh at herself. Not only does she look great here at 60, but she also had a beautiful smile. Alot of other celebrities on Carson would talk over him, but Taylor actually listened to what he said. A high school friend of mine was Elizabeth's stylist and personal assistant for ten years (she attended Liz's wedding to Larry, made halloween costumes (clowns) for them both one year, and traveled the world with her and Jose Eber. She said Elizabeth was one of the kindest, most generous people she ever had the privilege to know. She gave wonderful parties and lunches on her patio at her home in Califirnia. She liked giving people cats, and gave her a beautiful tortoishell cat as a birthday gift. I recently found a photograph of James Dean with a cat purportedly given to him by Liz after the filming of Giant. I messaged Jorjett and she confirmed Liz did in fact gift James with a kitten. @@flyaway7636 Maybe you've seen her guest appearance on "Here's Lucy." I think she had the knack for comedy and should have done more.

I wish Elizabeth had done more interviews. During much of her career, most I heard about her were the alleged behavior, scandals and marriages. After watching this, I felt I had a better understanding of her as a person. Well spoken and thoughtful, perhaps a bit unlucky with love but not bitter. Kudos to Johnny for a great interview.

I am obsessed with this woman! I have read her biography and have her coffee-table book on jewelry! What an amazing, yet, tragic life! I love reading about her perseverance through illness and, especially, love! Rest in peace, dear lady!

Her life was anything but tragic; it was victorious! Although she encountered much tragedy along the way; she did not let it define her. This is not an easy thing to do. As a character, I mean person, she had a lot of courage and spirit. We never missed an Elizabeth Taylor in our house. Love that woman.

Add this to your trove of knowledge. Watching an interview with Richard Burton he was aid that Elizabeth was " sweet...very sweet." And that all their problems stemmed from his alcoholism.
