Toms in a no win situation id just give up trying to get the Jones fight tbh, if he gets it and loses, theyll say he was a hypejob that got beat by an old man, if he gets it and wins theyll say the only reason he won is bcus jones is on the verge of retirement. Personally id just let Jon fight Stipe and retire as a champion which he deserves for everything hes done for the sport and how dominant hes been, and then Tom can fight for the vacant belt and be the king of his own era and reign for a long time. For me thats the best outcome, i genuinly dont want to see Tom v Jon, and im a fan of both but i think Jones deserves the chance to end his career how he likes, if he was ducking guys in his prime then id be the first to slate him, but ducking young guys when your about to retire is not something you should be slated for in my eyes
