Sir , Why is it, that only Polysulphide impression can be electroplated ? Whats the science behind that Sir? Please answer! !!!

Unfortunately, because of their large dimensional instability, agar impressions cannot be electroplated. To build up a thick layer of plated metal, the impression must be left in the electroplating solution for many hours. As the plated layer forms, the underlying impression is imbibing the electrolyte and expanding. The resulting plated layer wrinkles and tears.
