About that ending... Gensokyo is basically where all the world's youkai (basically the Japanese equivalent of monsters) ended up when they were forgotten by the world. Just think. If everyone forgets Asriel, maybe he'll end up in Gensokyo. Maybe that was Yukari's plan all along. Who knows? All I know is that I found a new headcanon.

The problem is that without a soul, he's not really a Youkai anymore. He's a Determination Life Form (DLF for short). I can see Yukari bringing him over after the others leave, and coming up with some kind of arrangment for him on the other side... They have at least one character for every possible thing they need to do, no matter how impossible.

A thing I have heard about this and agree with myself. The reason Yukari and Marisa smile at the end is because they know that Gensokyo is the land of the forgotten and lost, those who are forgotten or lost to their own world end up there.. So while it is goodbye here, Asriel in this universe combination thing will end up in Gensokyo... It could even be said that Yukari knew this all ahead of time and sent Marisa there to teach him how spellcard battles work so he would better fit in on the other side.

Touhou normally we got 3 lifes (as a player) And for Marisa base on Touhou 8 (where story fix to) Marisa has 4 lifes as enemy and 1 last spell if she ran of them she basically lose Actually. . . 11:00 that time. . . The difference between the two battlers is that Asriel Dreemurr is bulkier and can take more hits than Murasaki (I know I misspelled but I'm too lazy to relock at the name) can, while Murasaki can dish out more damage at a faster rate than Asriel. Both of them are about equal speed.

The spell card rules dictate how many bombs and lives you get, so when Marisa stopped playing by those rules since this was a fight for her life she started spamming them because she no longer needed to limit herself to abide by those rules.
