Hi Lock Noob, A length of 1/2" wooden doweling can be so handy to make many followers with the "core appropriate" ends on the doweling. Grooves can be cut in one end, or both, for loading springs and pins, better than hollow tubing in most cases - can even be cut in segments for the narrow cam openings - cheap and effective.

There's so much in this video you could comment on. First of all great value for viewing because we got 2 picks in one video. What a great lock and what about that fantastic key bow. I don't envy you putting that back together.

Heh, oddly enough (or sadly maybe) with this video the pick really distracted me from the lock during picking. Amazing flex in that one. But i have to give it to it: Cool lock indeed. The complexity of the design is interesting. Makes me marvel how they assemble them in the factory.

I'd definitely have one of these for picking if I ever get the chance, but no way would I feel courageous enough to gut it. That check pin assembly does not look like someone with poor eyesight, poor fine motor control and a toolbox full of cowardice should tackle.

Can you do a video on some tips for top of keyway? I have at least 5 different locks I can open with bottom tension but just can't get it on top of key way. I find pin 1 and 2 to be the hardest

concerning the segmented followers, do you have a spare set, that you could cut in half (the right way, of course 8] )? amazing pick&gut of an amazing lock. I like that thick key, most probably not bent so easily.
