Stock core, no security pins. I don't have a follower for this core type. so i'll have to pick one up to make challenge locks out of these. Hope you enjoy the video, and if you do, consider subscribing!

A local locksmith gave me an Arrow Assa Abloy 6 pin mortise cylinder, telling me HE had been unable to pick it, using SPP or raking. The action is really tight and smooth, as you were saying about yours. This one I have has a slightly different keyway. It's more squared off, and a little wider than yours. The face is a darker color - a brownish. Anyway, eventually I got it open with a Sparrow's Worm. I disassembled it. All standard pins.Reassembled, and eventually got to the point I can SPP it.

I was given one of these by a locksmith. It's identical, except that it's "brown" in color. Funny thing, I've raked it open with a worm several times, while holding it in my hand as you did here. But I have yet to SPP it open. I've looked, and it's all standard pins. Well constructed lock, for sure.

Easy picking showing bad precision of this lock. Will be fun to upgrade the lock. Can you make threads in the chambers in the bible?

Potti314, that's exactly why I bought the lot of 6 of these. I'll be making challenge locks out of them. I just need to pick up some real plug followers first, haha. I was thinking of getting that lock disassembly kit you mentioned to me yesterday, as it looks like it comes with followers. I need to see if they have the notch in the end to fit this type of plug though.

Yes this kit is nice. It come with 3 followers: 1 small for pad locks (like American) one regular size with a groove for the pinning shoe and a hollow one (regular size). For ASSAs they are too small :-(
