Assassin's Creed 1 | Improvised Escapes (A Visual Lesson)

Just a laid back one for this fine Wednesday.
This little compilation of clips was not intended as a lesson of any kind, but I think it can work well as one.
AC1 is probably the most difficult Assassin's Creed game when it comes to escaping detection, because of the unforgiving nature of its parkour (not a bad thing) and it's more persistent and able enemy AI (At least that's how I see things)
But here you can see how proper utilization of the games parkour mechanics make quick work of guard pursuit in almost any situation. Just look at your surroundings thoughtfully and use them to your advantage.
Not the cleanest gameplay I've ever posted, but that kinda comes with the "improvised" territory.

It was weird playing ac1 when I finally had access to it again after many years because I actually had trouble shaking the law haha

​that's the only part of mirage that I wanted different I love that they chase to the rooftops but the consistent guard presence is the best part of ac1

The chase and escape gameplay loop of AC 1 is the best in the entire series. It really scratches that assassin fantasy itch in a way that none of the other games do.

The level design is what makes it so good, I think. So many options in every direction but it doesn't feel cluttered
