15:36 it's so weird that Edward has so many sword animations, it's almost like Edward was at first only going to have one sword and then unlock the other one (maybe upgrading it like the pistol handles). But then they stayed with the classic "two swords from the beginning". Personally I like that idea since i really like to fight with just one sword, makes me go around with my bare hands, disarming people to get the takedowns that way

Facts I just finished the story again a few months ago since I last played it in 2014 and now I'm trying to 100% the game. I love the game so much and love the fact that we're still getting content on it. Edward is great, the setting is beyond beautiful and the things you can do are endless. Pistol swords werent that practical to use, although they looked cool. For one youncoulsnr sheath them downward as the ammo would fall out, and they were short, misbalanced and heavy. Along with being fragile Adding a second functionality tona weapon decreases its effectiveness overall. Cool tho

The older games were so immersive in terms of animations fluidity, variety and their quality. Taunting enemies, throwing sands, disarming, picking weapons, multi kills, using tools in combat. All gone now.

What I found is the chain kills that he usually does with his swords and guns. Those are probably the most brutal. The one where he puts the gun in the redcoats mouth and then lined up the shot To shoot his pistol through the guys head to hit the other red coat. That’s brutal as hell. Plus Definitely matched his fighting style with his personality. There’s A certain confidence that uses out of Kenway when he fights. Not to mention he doesn’t think like most assassins. He’s a fucking pirate,a criminal. He won’t hesitate to fight dirty, or use underhanded tricks to get to his target. Not to mention as you can see is absolutely stupid to attack him head on. No matter how many enemies coming at him. He just proved right here that he can cut them down all the same. At least 100 or more raids under his belt fighting officers captains pirates assassins Templars. you name it he’s found it and came out on top every time. So if you wanna fight Edward Conway get ready to have a fight of your life. Or what five seconds you have left of said life if you are. Either bold or stupid enough to challenge him.

This what made yhe combat in the older Assassin's Creed games so fun and satisfying. Sure it's too easy, but hey, there is such a huge variety of different takedowns animations which just make you feel like an untouchable, skilled warrior/assassin! If only they made all of them 60 FPS compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series S and X.

Thanks. Yes, took me a month to find and record all animations. They had to be at the right time of day so the footage isn't dark and has contrast, with a nice background, and right camera angles (these change randomly for each finisher), and avoiding other enemies being in the middle of the animation or shooting at me. Had over 3.5k recordings at the end, and had to choose the best looking, and edit the vid accordingly so the categories make some sense and is easy to navigate and find what you want.

Honestly THIS is how you do brutal in games, not the stupidly over the top 16 hits to kill one guy we get in some of the newer AC games. These finishers are brutal, fast, and efficient, and the max hit's I counted was 6, and that was when it was 2 guys at once.
