What we need is Connor Arno and Shay in a Game all three were in the same time period, maybe Both assassins Ruining Shays Plans then Have them Kill an old Shay off, there Shay would confess he was the one who killed Arno Dads, then Shay looks at Connor giving him a speech on how peace with Assassins an Templar’s will never Happen, then Shay dies Knowing they’ve killed 3 Grandmaster (Haytham, Germain and Shay) now that would make up for the Past 2 Games.

I mean, given the state of Ubisoft and the recent games that came out, it may have been better for it to be a webtoon then a full-blown game or dlc as I'm sure they're gonna mess it up somehow. But hey, at least the story for this webtoon is quite compelling. You should give it a read sometime.

AC IV had an incredibly short development time, and most of it was concurrent with the final stages of AC III development, so I guess many things were already set in stone by that time. So, it's more like a case of nearsightedness and wasted potential in retrospect.

Hot Take: If Ubisoft could pull their shit together and remaster Assassin's Creed 4 into a next gen console, I really think this story could make for an AMAZING expansion or DLC to the remastered version. They could include it as one package with the remaster or release it separately, but execurd well, this could be an amazing extension. The array of new assassin gear and ship weapons would undoubtedly make Naval and ground combat much more fun. Along with a crossover story in the East Indies chronicling Edward's later exploits after his time as the Devil of the Carribean comes to an end is practically guaranteed to sell well. The companion characters also seem fun along with the antagonists. Unfortunately, I don't trust Ubisoft with not completely fucking up this so another pipedream it is. What a shame...
