Before you play Assassin's Creed: Unity, catch up on the overall story of the entire franchise. Trust us...it's a little bit bananas...

I understand why not subscribing tho. You subscribe for this one specific topic or game or game series you are interested in, and you end up having a subscription feed flooded with content you don't care about about. And, you know, since part of being an advance society means having everything the easy way, searching for it is just too much work.

The AC story went to shit after (*Spoiler*) they killed Desmond. All that buildup just for him to sacrifice himself. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy the games or enjoy the stories inside the animus, it's just that the modern story is garbage.

SpiritMolecule1 You don't know me. I'm not some guy believing everything the media says about let's say the eastern conflicts or gaza. I'm well informed and I know that some "forces "try to lead us into specific thoughts about specific topics. Manipulating people through propaganda n stuff is the oldest thing on earth so don't talk to me like I am a Kid who knows nothing. BUT I don't believe in a secret underground Organisation (which you know about tho...) that has plans to enslave the humanity. Who are you to know about a plan of enslaving the humanity? No offense tho I dont wanna destroy the bubble you live in. I know conspiracy is exiting and I myself find some of them entertaining and even believable. And btw. saying that there is 100% proof prooves nothing aslong as you don't list something...

Assassin's creed will go down in history as one of those legendary games like MGS, Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy... One of the best series ever. BUT when they first revealed that Juno or whatever character and it all got futuristic... It kinda killed my vibe, it was such a beautifully set up masterpiece but they had to introduce alien like beings into it -_- aaaaand they HAD to kill of Desmond -_- ngl that pissed me off, why develop his character so much and then kill him off? He could have been the best character in the franchise seeing as he gained all of the previous assassin's skills.... Ezio's still my favourite though 😏
@UserDude9 жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying... but then again lbh Desmond was really annoying... so annoying, that it would have been nice turning on the game, watching him explode into welly blood goops and go on with the game... instead of all that long death shit.

@Byrnzi3609 жыл бұрын
The minute they started delving into these cosmic "ancestors" and their stories and motivations, the game series gets convoluted. Writers understand that you don't need to explain the motivations of your cosmic/God-like foes. It's better to not know what they are and why they're doing what they're doing. All that's important is that they left incredibly dangerous weapons behind and there are bad people, like Abstergo, who shouldn't get their hands on it. They should take a page from Lovecraft, who understood that real fear and intrigue came from an absence of knowledge. It creates debate and dialogue rather than spoon feeding people a potentially lame story, which some will find interesting, but most will not.

This is why I love Assassin's Creed. The story. Not the, ooh look I'm a pirate and kill everyone. The story is what keeps me going, which is why I was disappointed with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The modern day story didn't develop as much as I wanted it to. I just hope Assassin's Creed: Unity will move forward with the modern day section, and give us more depth on the actual goals of modern Templar (Abstergo) Order and the Assassin's Creed. I need to know what happens next with Juno!

Watch Dogs seems to be the way they are going, to develope its modern story as its rumored to be set in the same universe as AC. Hey guys I'm still a little confused, Juno, tells Desmond to activate the eye, which would make Juno powerful again right? Why does he do that knowing Juno's bad intention of global slavery and revenge... I'm probably entirely incorrect, if anyone could correct me and explain it to me I'd be happy :)
@harrypage70817 жыл бұрын
He thought that people would find a way to stop Juno but since nothing really happened in unity/syndicate Juno hasn't done anything yet and nobody is any closer to even realising that she's going to ruin everything apart from about 4 people (Desmond's father and that lot), but they're too weak due to ac rogue. We'll have to wait until at the earliest 2017 for anything to happen as far as i know.
@titaniteslab26317 жыл бұрын
That explains it all
@karinajakobsen80457 жыл бұрын
If he didn't activate the eye, most of the human population would die when the solar flare roasted earth. In the aftermath, Desmond would be a leader, that after his death would be praised and end up regarded as a god, and the circle would start over again. If he activates it, Juno is freed, and saves earth. But she will have the desire to rule earth. (Btw, he basicaly goes against the assassin creed by activating it, and accepting global dominance instead of extinction XD ) Desmond's hope was that he could have both. Save all of earth, and the population would find a way to stop Juno. In the last 2 games we have heard very little of Juno. In Unity we saw her refuse to take possetion player, and in Syndicate we see a short clip of her, at the end of the game. So basicaly the present day story has moved ahead at a snail pace in the last 2 games.........

Play as a dude that assassinates people from different points in history such as renaissance Italy or Civil war U.S.A.

Wouldn't that change things though. Like a butterfly effect

no because you have to do the exact same sort of things that that assassin did

Ezios Trilogy is the only Assassin's Creed, all after that was crap and each year I feel even more disappointed. Victory will be a huge mistake, I can already tell :( I am really sadden as it was my favourite game ever, and Ezio will forever stay in my heart.

Ac3 and 4 wass good.
@fluxsphinx96308 жыл бұрын
1.its not victory its syndicate.2. Assassin's Creed IV was a good game.3.Syndicate will not be a mistake if you actually look at the trailers and information that game will be the best over AC Trilogy
@Skansener8 жыл бұрын
1. By the time I wrote this comment it was gonna be called Victory, no one ever heard of Syndicate. 2. Yes AC IV was good, but it didn't feel like AC anymore. 3. You can't tell yet

+Dragonborn I agree with you completely, I haven't played any more of the games past revelations because I loved Ezio so much and the new games just didnt spark any interest for me. But I would like to see how the story ends up as I quite enjoyed it

1:40 is one of the best scenes I have ever seen in a video game or even movie. Ezio speaks to a god. He later speaks to his descendant born 500 years after he is. How is the possible? A f*cking deep story.

But 2012 has already come and gone. Why is the story still stuck on 2012? Is this like the last season of How I Met Your Mother where every game now takes place over the course of one single day? Is Ubisoft that complacent as to just keep milking the same franchise over and over? Somebody wrist blade AC in the neck please.

sth128 ...AC Rogue and Unity are in 2015...
@Shystee539 жыл бұрын
sth128 1st of all, the games aren't stuck in 2012, Black Flag, and Unity both take place after 2012... And the game generally focus' on that year because all the games up until the end of AC3 are based on a story where you are trying to prevent the solar flare tragedy that occurs in 2012.. Everything is set into motion because of that solar flare so of course the story is going to focus on that year

I don't know why everyone is still confused about the story, everything makes sense for me. Well probably because i played each of the Assassin's Creed games mentioned in this video at least 3 times.
@cjamesfort8 жыл бұрын
And this is why the modern day back story matters. It's literally the entire basis for everything that happens. Also the Assassins and Templars trade positions between who are the "good guys" and "bad guys". Games taking place in Europe tend to have relatively good Assassins and horrible Templars while the opposite is true for the Americas.
@Notster079 жыл бұрын
The original story of Desmond being able to time travel would have been 100000000x better instead of being this confusing and off putting. -.- Ubisoft, fix this please.

The future story line used to be so interesting with Desmond, a deep interesting coded story that gave light to what was to come in the future, slowly learning truth of the past in a zeitgeist of small Revelations... The hope was to eventually lead up to a significant meaning and purpose from everything that happened in the past, but unfortunately we have people with small attention spans or people who just didn't know what was going on saying it sucked, and Ubisoft listened, and killed off Desmond and the beautiful complexed future storyline. And now using mechanics from a good engine to sell yearly releases of the same empty shell game to new consumers. Ubisoft has cut the heart out of Assassin's Creed. :'{
