In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you can choose to play as either a male or female protagonist named Alexios or Kassandra. Kassandra is beautiful to look at but Alexios is just as good-looking too. I recently played 200 + hrs as Alexios and can honestly say that I absolutely loved all of it. His voice acting was great, especially with scenarios that gave a sarcastic/funny dialogue options.

Alexios is really variable. In some cases, like the Cyclops eye and goat... his delivery is spot on. Other points, like this where he says, “Oh, is that all you need?”, the inflection point is completely off. I’ve noticed this a lot and it happens with smaller, less important dialogue. It’s like the VO director didn’t do a good job of contextualising the scene to the actor. As it’s clear the actor is capable of delivering, I’d say it’s down to poor direction rather than ability.

To me Alexios makes more sense because his father trained him as a kid. I'm not that *historically enriched* but i believe a spartan father wouldn't choose to train a daughter to be a Spartan warrior. Plus in that scenario he had a son, so wouldn't he wait to train him? Just saying, Alexios' scenario seems more believable...

Evie and Jacob each had their linear storyline inside the main storyline and they each had their own missions. Here you choose 1 character and roll with it the entire game.

Syndicate is the most underrated AC game. Almost feels like totally forgotten game. The switch mechanism was really good to have so you can go stealthy ninja with Evie and straight on tanky brawler with Jacob.

The characters are only different if you decide for them to be different. And there are probably hundreds of different lines that they had to record so just giving them the same script makes sense

I played the entire main story and Legacy of the First Blade DLC in the Achilles armor and level it up to 99 in New Game Plus then I changed the appearance to the black and red first civilization armor set for the Atlantis DLC.

So many people saying how Kassandra has better voice acting then Alexios. Personally I've played both and prefer him. However I must mention that on the official wiki pages for the game the Maine character is referred to as Kassandra... Alexios just gets shafted by the community and it's sad. You think they'd do something like "Kassandra or Alexios" when referencing the player. But no it appears like they are just trying to champion the female character, this sentiment can be heard by alot of the media coverage of the game.

I believe most guys who play as a female will tell you they prefer to look at females, but in a role-playing game, you should play the role you feel most comfortable with, and if you're a guy and you play as a female, I guess you can say you feel more comfortable in a woman's skin than a guy's. When you’re in the temple and she storms in, I just thought that they definitely had alexios in mind for that situation. Loving the game so far though. Alex Skye Alexios is for all intents and purposes the equivalent to what you just described for the time period. The only people who are taller or more built than he is are the brute enemy types. He's got a very solid build denser than most assassin's that we've got before outside of Conor. He's also already a proven warrior so that vocal physical confidence that you're talking about is completely justified especially given the fact he's still culturally a Spartan. Every reason you said it didn't work are actually there.
