I am italian and yes you can say it!!;) We had a huge historical things...Beautiful as arts,music,etc,but bad as politics,wars and economics..Oh yes I include in our country the language,food and places as the best things in Italy :)

Personally I visited a good part of the locations in AC2 before I even knew of the game's existence. Playing that game gave me a lot of nostalgy... and also some serious near-panic attacks while climbing those building because I knew how tall they were in real life lol

This is such a great video. I’m in Florence right now and I grew up playing those games. It really is incredible how much nostalgia and love I have for a city I had never been to before purely because I saw it through ezios eyes when I was younger, hooked on the tragic tale of his life.

I love that you didn't recognise Florence until you saw the rooftops really fits with the parkour theme and that you wouldn't usually remember the floor level as much as the roofs Also these videos are Great it's amazing how Ubisoft got things so like reality in the games

I live in Rome two years ago I did the same thing, went to Florence just for my love for the Ezio's AC chapters (and my girlfriend too haha). First immediate thing I did to be ready, it was putting the soundtrack of AC2 in my faithful mp3 player and every place I went to, I was literally empathizing with and almost crying for the emotions awaken. Best day of my life. Wow, I can imagine what that can mean for you "outsiders" :) I love how a game gave that feeling to a lot of people that want to come here just for that. I know there are a lot of real friends of the brotherhood out there and to them, to you..I say ciao! I would like to be you're guide guys, who knows maybe the next time! Nulla è reale, tutto è lecito.

Ahh, beautiful Florence :) I also went there 2 years ago and our cruise stopped there on a Sunday and we were not able to go inside the Duomo because of mass. But Florence is still my favourite :) Thanks for these videos, Loomer. They really are a joy to watch especially when you're an Assassin's Creed fan.

.... god, AC just isn't what it used to be. I can't describe why... but AC1-ACR (and even AC3 to an extent) was just.... I can't describe it. This journey brings back alot of memories though, the whole Ezio saga was just incredible and nothing has ever been the same since.

Great video. I was there last autumn and the memories flooded back. One thing you’ve missed is the Palazzo Strozzi which was the fictional house of Ezio in Florence. There’s a cafe inside and it’s a great little place to have a cup of coffee.

Hey Loomer, I just visited Florence yesterday. The first I saw this video was probably 2016. Since then, I had a dream to visit florence once I start earning money in Euros. I am from India, got a part time job in Germany and the first thing I did with my first European salary was visit Florence. Waited 7 years. 7 years, every single day, I dreamt of visiting this place since I first finished Ac2. Now that I have, FEELS MAGICAL. IT's EXACTLY how they have shown in AC2

this is great. i went to Florence in April, always wanted to go since AC2. When i went round a corner and saw the duomo its like WOW, then going up the tower.. wow, and walk along the river is very beautiful.

I love the fact that our currency (Forint) got its name of the former Florentine currency (most notably the gold because Hungary was an important exporter of gold in the middle ages centuries ago), that was used in this place in the middle ages/renaissance times.... And our capital is also a twin city :,) "The forint's name comes from the city of Florence, where golden coins were minted from 1252 called fiorino d'oro."

Just got back from there yesterday, but gotta say it; you should have climbed to the top of the duomo, it was a truly amazing experience for only 10 euros, and the AC flashbacks in there were just awesome! Have also been to Roma and Venezia with similar AC 'feelings'! Game on Italia!!

When the first time I really traveled in front of the Duomo and Pitta, the only words in my head is De javu. I certainly know that I've been here before. All the memories suddenly came up. When I were Ezio, I climed on the top of Duomo(fall down a few times, of course) , fighted on the square of the Pitta. Thank you so much , Ubisoft, for taking me traveled Firenze 10 years ago.
