Could be argued that Black Flag was a bad AC game. Amazing game in general. Fucking great pirate game. But barely even recognizable as an AC game. They could have just removed Assassin's Creed from the title, and a few AC looking things and they coulda got away with making it it's own stand alone game. Though I do agree with you. Despite AC1 being VERY plain and simple, it was still great. And even with all of Unity's issues, it's still AC. Being the worst in a franchise as good as AC, still makes it better than a lot of other games.

Personally, my favorite was AC4, though people can argue it's less an AC game and more of a pirate game. But it was a fuckton of fun. The most fun I've had in an AC game. Though I just got Syndicate, a bit late but oh well. We'll see how I like it, but so far it's fun. I think for me, I enjoy Assassin's Creed when it's not taking itself too seriously. When it's ok with throwing in humor and over the top stuff. AC2, 4, and Syndicate are my favorites. and they seem to be the main 3 that have a bit more humor and light-hearted fun. They don't mind just being entertaining every now and then and giving you a break from smacking you over the head with story. Probably why AC1 and 3 were my least favorites.

I always liked Revelations because it had the most options, and actually felt really rewarding if you could pull off some moves. Also, guards weren't completely stupid, they might actually detect mines you lay out. Also, that was probably the most brutal one as well (not to mention the wrist gun is ironically faster to fire between enemies than the pistols from ACIV).

The new storylines aren't very emotionally investing.The previous games used to build up on a character and create an amazing bond.I loved Ezio,Altair and Connor.I hope Ubisoft brings that back and builds up on a character.

Ezio was the best. AC2 was such an amazing game, and one of the best that I've played. It was such a great story and the missions were fun to play. I also liked how Desmond was in the old games. It was a shame that he died in AC3 and they never brought back a character like him. Now, Abstergo is weird and you don't get to fight with the character as you used to be able to with Desmond.

AC 2 brotherhood and revelations were the best assassin ones Black flag was the best pirate/assassin one in terms of difference's though black flag win's over all as it introduces many new things and doesn't heavily rely on just assassinations
