Eivor got the shitty deal tbh. She got Asgard/Valhalla but it was fake. Imagine being a God fearing Vinkingr dedicating all your battles to Odin ir the other Aesir only to find out personally they are all frauds. I'll never forget the look on Eivor's face when they realised their religion was an actual lie. That's some existential crisis shit if I ever seen one

Its a shame christianity spread across Scandinavia, had it not, we would potentially have a living Pagan religion still going, maybe they would use modern techniques like concrete to build their longhouses and stone circles, their modern armies would still have a traditional cermonies draped in accurate clothing of their time, their parliaments would still be called a 'thing', maybe their warships would still have longboat features, even if it was a modern destroyer. And still bury or burn their important people after death, on ceremonial longships. :)
