You didn't happen to click through the Anomaly mod install, did you? There is an option in there that makes radiation absolutely bonkers, but I haven't played EFP so maybe that's just how it is. It is pretty funny that walking through friendly areas is more difficult than clearing out a military base.

Pink stashes in EFP give you kits in order, and the kit will always be static/persistent. This resets when you get gunsmithing tools. Also, yes, campfires get rid of radiation. The default is 1/s, same with healing, so it's fairly useless. You can adjust it in the MCM settings to make it faster

This isn't a critique of the series or anything, but I can't help but feel off put by the really vibrant green grass. It makes the zone feel habitable, which isn't the vibe I'm personally for with Stalker. If that makes any sense.

Well, it's not just Gamma. The trilogy of stalker was similarly "you are in a dead place, nothing should live here" in aesthetic.

Looking at Chernobyl now it is not a dead place, nature will always reclaim what we took from it. It’s natural and realistic. Unless there’s some lOrE that states Why all plants should be dead.

I always carry at least two doses of radioprotectant for these kinds of situations at all times, they dont cost much at all, at the very least not as much as burning through most of your meds because of radiation :P Something to think about! Love the vids! Inspired my own EFP playthrough

Nice job. I haven't caught up to your more recent vids, but you should try to save up for a geiger counter - as long as the geiger is in your inventory, you will be able to hear radiation clicking before you run into radiation zones.

Btw, not sure if you know this, but if door or a cabinet says that it's "locked" you can try and shoot or hit with a knife where it supposedly can be locked, and open it. Like that metal door in main Freedom building where is their armory, you can just open it by shooting at the lock. And btw, can we expect True stalker? Or you're didn't really enjoyed the story only mod?

You can buy pirification pills from a medic to fully purify water but monolit does not have one if I remember corectly, but the boiled water is what poisons you.

Not sure if it works for you but pressing Shift (and Shift+X in GAMMA) while talking with NPCs - it brings Trade window, even if they refuse to trade after picking 1st dialogue option... so that might give you some hope for getting what you need later. Bounty squad? IIRC it was default in EfP while in Gamma it was either disabled by default or had to download on your own. And bounty squads in EfP (v3 at least) were NASTY.

bro when i make a new game i got a really annoying bug with the sawn off and some shotguns, basically the hands and the weapon are invisible and i can't use the gun. If the NPCs have the bugged guns they look like they constantly equipping/unequipping the gun and won't be able to shoot it. Is there any way to fix it tho?

For the Arrival mod - specifically the radiation option and especially if you are doing a GAMMA run - open the zip and navigate to 000000000000000\02 Options\Anomalies\Radiation\Radiation Levels\Rads - Light\gamedata\configs\zones - and delete the zone_field_radioactive.ltx During the install select that option and it will not mess with any GAMMA settings with rads nor other mods that you may have that deals with rads. I think the way that Arrival deals with rads is reduces ALL helmets to like 8% resist, which is an easy fix to make rads deadly, but GAMMAs rads are far better (in my opinion)

I highly suggest getting purifying pills from medics. They only cost 2k and completely purifies the water flasks and has like 10 uses, so 100 swigs total. Purified water flasks removes 7msV per second.

I know food drops are trash in the beginning but remember your hunting skill modifier is being affected,so it'll skyrocket as you level up, maybe do some hunting in the south.

Maybe you should take a hunting trip to Radar, a lot of mutants and monolith, so, any gunshots would be friendly ones, and any chunk of meat is welcome
