This game was originally gonna be a Prince Of Persia spin-off, called Prince Of Persia Assassins. Where a white hooded assassin was gonna be the prince’s bodyguard, but UbiSoft decided to have the hooded assassin have its own original IP game. Thus Assassin’s Creed was born back in 2007. You can say that this game is the spiritual successor to Prince Of Persia.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames well they weren’t supposed to be happy accidents. They were going to be their original concepts for their games, just like DMC was supposed to be Resident Evil 4, and Dante aka Tony Redgrave was the original main character for that game. Thanks to Shinji for telling Hideki Kamia to make his own game with this character. You should definitely check out Matt McMuscle’s “What Happened” series. He’s an expert when it comes to games. Start off with his Capcom related episodes. Start off with the DmC reboot and Resident Evil 4.

@@Mankey619i wish 'fans' didn't get outrage over the 2010 TGS Reboot Dante trailer since that version of Reboot Dante is something that i wouldve preferred way more than the final version although the final version isn't bad as most ppl say because of the ever lasting hate boner that went towards DmCs development especially its final release... 'fans' really lied about Ninja Theory lashing out on the 'fans' of the original as well as making fun of the original games aka OG Dante when that was never true.... the 'Gay Cowboy' incident never happened in actuality and someone added the word 'gay' before one of the devs said 'cowboy' and was just comparing how the westerns were presented to the eastern where the OG was made at.... Ninja Theory NEVER made fun of the original dante and acted like their version were better.... some 'fans' mislead and lied to the DMC community and told that the Director of the game was comparing DmC Dante as the 'cooler' version compared to the OG Dante even though that wasn't true and all the director did was compare the f3cking outfits in regards to how different time periods stylise outfits and how it changes overtime.... DMC1 Dante was heavily stylized but DMC2 Dante was way less but also still was stylized because of his simplicity, he looked very sleek and majority of the DMC community agrees that OG Dante's DMC2 look was the best looking.... DMC3 is a mix-bag within the community but the Director still had to compare because of the time period in which certain outfits looked 'cool' at the time or even now.... DMC4 Dante went back to his DMC1 look but altered and isn't directly the same as his DMC1 look.... then comes Ninja Theory's version where they took inspirations from western movies like Fight Club to create a grungy aesthetic that they were going for especially the 2010 version of Reboot Dante where his design was different compared to rhe final version.... he was very dirty and filled with scars because he was tortured by Demons since he was captured as a child in which has 'reactions' based from it which probably would've played a huge role in the original story that they had including his smoking habit where ppl think it was added to look 'cool' but not really sinfe it could've been made to ease Dante's mind... its the same way as Sheriff Bigby from Wolf Among Us smokes but he only does it because of the constant scent that he has on Snow White and probably other things elsewell.... 2010s Dante voice was way deeper and more gravely in a darker tone since no shit because he was tortured by Demons since he was a child although i think some ppl said that the voice for Dante in the 2010 trailer is the same as the final version but im not sure.... All in All, the 'fans' or 'fan backlash' can hurt ppl in alot of ways... just look at the Star Wars actors.... Humans will never learn.

Played this when it came out and I loved how philosophical this game was, Altaíïr's character development from arrogant killer to an enlightened man was great as well, his debates with his targets were always interesting, especially when the offered legitimate arguments for their actions. Jubair's is my favorite because he is correct to a point, sources of information can be false, can be bias, or even just incomplete. How many people today endanger, or threaten, others - seek to rob them of their rights and protection - because someone wrote something inflammatory about them, or portrayed a group as sub-human? It doesn't even need to be in a book anymore, and such words can still get it's hooks into an audience willing to listen and act upon it.
@david53444
@david53444 Жыл бұрын
With the difference that jubair thinks he knows all the truth and he and his men can lead the world and know what is best. That's why he burns all the books, all the knowledge and things that are sacred to many of the people, for a new world, because he doesn't believe in it. He even kills and does it against the people's will. That sounds familiar to many ideology who destroy everything a society is build upon, Stalin and Hitler come to mind, to build their new world. And we know how the end result looks when Al Mualim uses the apple of Eden. A dark and sad world, because people have no free will. Love and diversity is lost, because a small group of men want peace and rule over all of them because they believe they have the right to be the world's dictator. There are some nuances to the Templars and you could say on the surface their ideas aren't that bad, but that's basically communism or even what the Nazis wanted. I can't see how anyone who thinks about it longer can sympathize with the Templars at all.

Background info for Altair before the start of the game: He is easily the most skilled assassin even upto the present time during Desmond's time, I don't think anyone has surpassed him in skills or ability in the story. He is arrogant because he's the youngest master assassin and also easily in another dimension when compared to his peers. He also lost his first love which pushed him to be consumed by his work and to become arrogant and boisterous to overcompensate to hide his pain. He is brash and stubborn, but is also shown to be compassionate and empathetic. Even before learning through his mistakes. Now evidence for why he is the most skilled assasin, 1- The animus allows you to relive your ancestors memories. But if you don't do what he did, the memory will start to destabilize and collapse. So whenever you get hit as Altair the memory starts to destabilize and collapse. Meaning at no time in the whole story besides cutscenes was Altair ever touched once by an enemy. He was never hurt, even when he fought through a literal battlefield/War and slew countless foes to reach King Richard and Robert De Sable was he ever touched once. 2- When facing Al Mualim he both resists the effects of the apple and actually defeats the 50 or so combatants that his master conjures to face him. He beats his master after going through an active battlefield to foil Robert De Sable's plan as well as facing and subduing most of his brethren before facing his master's illusions and ultimately defeating them and his master. His skill, will, ability and adaptability. Make him on of, if not the best assassins in the series. His growing wisdom and innate intelligence when he's not being arrogant ass is enlightening. Anyways can't wait for you to move on to assassin's creed 2, It's a classic👌

AC 2 suffers from very mid writing especially with ezios character arc with it being practically non-existent and it making no sense.... ppl only say that ezio was well written because of the simple change of him being revenge driven but then turning into a wise adult which is simply not true... ezios character growth happens way too quickly and doesn't help the fact that the game time skips constantly... so by the time ezio is in sequence 5 or 6, he's already a wise not revenge driven adult who explains how much he has grown in that speech in sequence 13 but it ultimately falls flat because ezio remained the same as he was since sequence 4 or 6.... and he explains how his ppl aka the assassin's showed him the path of vengeance isnt right even though thats not true because they always wanted him to kill templars and trained him to do so... even the girl that got betrayed just like ezio gave ezios the abilities to aid him against templars... also ezio never makes any mistakes except for disrespecting francescos son but it was over so quickly that it didn't even matter and because ezio himself hangs francesco brutally and has the music to show that this was cruel but it is never mentioned and never has any reprocussions for that action that ezio did, ubisoft hinted at making ezio somewhat grey with that snippet of him hanging francesco and the cinematic trailer where the templar seems like somewhat of a decent person as well as the guards but ubisoft just decided to not do that and instead abandon what they had from the 1st game where everything was morally grey and you couldn't decide which sides were right... now ezio vs the borgia is basically just like tlou2 but somewhat worse and I love how everyone praised this but not TLOU2, however ubisoft did fix ezios character in brotherhood and in revelations and using his character to reflect on how he was in AC 2 where machiavelli just said that ezio was a prophet even though ezio never really was able to cope with it as well as retiring after dealing with rodrigo borgia but all that changes where his city gets attacked and is done with this shit

To see how intricately these earlier games' stories have been designed, full of philosophical questions and focused on the growth of characters and their lives' stories, it's quite maddening to see what became of it. That those things doesn't matter anymore and the only focus lies on epic finishers, numbers above the enemies' heads and microtransactions... I hope we'll get to the point someday were the Assassin's Creed games truly focus on their roots again and use their medium to tell fascinating and captivating stories. If not by Ubisoft, then maybe a studio that truly understands the franchise and makes good use of it after Ubisoft has been devoured by it's greed. How long that will take however, remains to be seen.

I always liked how the series points at the similarities between the assassins and the templars. Both groups seek to build a new world of peace and order, but it's the means by which they accomplish it that separates them. The templars seek their goal through control and power. In other words, everyone answers to them. Meanwhile the assassins seek peace and order by safeguarding humanity's free will. Essentially being more of a "guide" for people to achieve peace rather than forcing it upon them.

AC1 - all the way to Unity.... although personally I'd skip AC2 since the writing is god awful and Ubisoft removed the moral dilemma they had in the 1st game but playing it would be way better because the game has many good elements although there are changes in mechanics that were removed from the 1st game, specifically the combat and how missions are layed out or structured as well as the assassinations themselves that you can bring in your own advantage using your environment and learning it elsewell, which was very very dumbed down or streamlined in AC2.... not to mention how the assassinations themselves tie the narrative into gameplay, which was removed in the 2nd game like killing a target like the old man made the mentally ill or unstable wonder around and rot away until they die, which brings in heavy motion towards gameplay, as you really have to wonder around more cautiously since the mentally unstable can attract too much attention when you're near them.

If it helps your decisions , Assassins creed is normally Separated because they are diffraction in terms of gameplay and story , they also seem to have a Seperation in terms of fanbase too I'll put a * on the Games People have a Generally positive response too and recommend to play within the Series Classic Assassins Creed : it follows the older more methodical style of the Series mostly based around real history with the fantastical elements being outside the normal - fan favourite -Assassins Creed * -Assassins Creed II * -Assassins Creed Brotherhood * -Assassins Creed Revelations The Kenway Saga: an intermediate era were the gameplay style changed , though most notable for the fan favourite Black sheep of the family Black Flag which can be played as its own thing -Assassins Creed 3 -Assassins Creed Liberation -Assassins Creed Black Flag * -Assassins Creed Rouge The Modern Age : this era can be skipped like the intermediate era , it was a major shift in gameplay experimentation to reinvent the series but was plagued by horrific bugs and patches , though Unity is still in a lot of people's recommendations for its gameplay -Assassins Creed Unity * -Assassins Creed Syndicate Age of Antquity: this is the current line up of Games , the gameplay is drastically different from its classic counterpart and strays from history to a More RPG Mythology based reinventing of the Series, this current era is still a fan favourite with newer fans of the franchise and has stuck around -Assassins Creed Origins * -Assassins Creed Odyssey * -Assassins Creed Valhalla I know I didn't list everything but hopefully this helped your choices on what to play and what to react too xD and I hope you enjoy the Series!!

Oh nice! I grew up with these games. They were one of the series games that were out at that time. I just restarted playing it. Assassin's Creed Blackflag is my favorite. I somehow became very good at playing A.C. So I really love it. Assassin's Creed 2 is the first one I played. And I love it. Awesome video guys

Hi guys! If you ever watch the cutscenes from the Ezio games, I would reccomend you to watch the PS3 version of the games (the original one) instead of the PS4 ("Ezio collection") one. I just think original looks way better to be honest. I know everyone may not agree with this, but hey, I sincerelly think originals look more natural, and thus may be more enjoyable to watch Anyway, glad you reacted to ACI cutscenes and that you plan on keep AC content on the channel! 🙌🏼

With the doctor if you wait around before assassinating him he'll talk to his patients whom actually thank him for clearing their minds. Also I'm pretty sure afterwards there's an increase in the number of mentally ill people wandering the streets.

I am so glad you guys are pulling life lessons from this and I agree that a person needs to assess who they are before following other people. The debate in part 4 reminds me of all the book bands that we saw in the ‘90s and also in current society. Sadly our society, especially in America, promotes the exact opposite. I hope you guys do Black Flag and Syndicate. Outside of AC:3 and Liberation those are my two favorites so far. I have only played 3 and Liberation, both good games. I do wish Liberation had been longer though.

If you’re going to do cutscenes…then you should also react to AC Bloodlines. It was a PSP game which tells of the adventures of Altair after the events of AC1. It’s only 50-60 Minutes long

Everyone has (for good reason) hyped the AC2 trilogy, but AC1 had its own share of spinoffs. Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles is a prequel, published on the DS, which, franchise-lore-wise, is rather forgettable. The other, Assassin's Creed Bloodlines, made for the PSP, is a sequel detailing further adventures of Altaïr. While it is not strictly a necessary experience to understand the series, there's a specific plot thread of it that neatly ties AC1 and AC2 together. AC:B's cutscenes video is about an hour, it might be worth the watch. --------------- Back to AC1, I absolutely love the progression of the friendship between Altaïr and Malik across the game.

I like y’all and I understand why you think what you do but the saying nothing is true everything is permitted isn’t what you think and in later games it’s expanded upon that it isn’t a phrase that gives you permission to do as you like and justify everything as nothing matters but it’s a observation on human society and yourself as ezio said To say that nothing is true is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile and that we must be the shepherds of our civilization. To say that everything is permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious of tragic.
