​@MattyIce95 AC1-Black Flag was definitely the golden era. Rogue wasn't bad by any means, it just wasn't as good as the previous ones. Unity was only good in terms of gameplay and visuals, the rest? Not so much. Syndicate was super mid, Origins is the only good recent AC game, and Valhalla was also kinda mid. Odyssey is ok as a game but super bad as an AC game.

New games, to 100% you gotta commit 100-200 hours, we all remember the golden days because instead of 30 hours of fun and 170ish hours of mindless grind: it was just the 30 hours of fun.

What I loved about Revalation was its connection to Assassins Creed 1 , Altair’s presence or ghost guiding Ezio ! Assassins Creed Revelations was an epic finish to the Ezio trilogy

Cinematic trailers have always been there to exemplify the story or the mood, the game play trailers are straight up gameplay to let you know what you should expect. The only trailers you should never trust are E3 trailers or alpha/beta trailers.

Trailers where the game delivers what the trailer promised, Hellblade - Senua's Sacrifice, Life is Strange, GTA V, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Assasin's Creed - Odyssey, Conan Exiles. They do exist but if you pick a cinematic trailer the clue is really in the title ;)

for me the whole assassin's order kinda went by the wayside after 3 with conner. You still had the templars to deal with and i enjoyed doing things and getting people to work and build up the manor. I still like the latest 2 games because of the mythology behind them, greek and now viking, but its just not quite the same as the old 3 games.

The grindy RPG part of Assassin's Creed has ruined the series for me. I got invested in the series for the story. I want to go through the story without reaching a point I can't continue on through because I haven't done boring ass things to level up. The story for the games are still amazing, I just can't stand the ridiculous size of the world and the grindy aspect of it all.

Exactlyyy that's why I had to quit odyssey. Even with origins ( the story of which I loved) there were grindy parts which put me off but when I heard all of the grindy things and extra length was doubled down for odyssey I just had to stop
