Just gotta say that your analogy comparing it to an hourly job is off. Assault Battles would be like a side gig that you can get some extra training into using what you already have in your main job. Crafting a CT3 AB team from scratch has a very long ROI, but putting a little more work into a team you are already building (Imps for SEE, CLS for JKL, etc) will end up with such a great return and it's for teams that benefit you already.

That's why I tried to say the salary/bonus. They're nice little bumps but they won't be enough to sustain your account. The concept of small increases is very valid though, great thought!

Yes...exactly, the job analogy is faulty. The Assault battles are very important, in the long run, which is all this game is about, it pays off Big time

I'm fairly new and can easily do assault battles except for inquisitor ones. I'm not sure whether I even want to gear up the inqs.. I heard they require a lot of the rare gear to upgrade. So I'm not sure whether they worth it for me just yet. So I'm focusing on my current builds.

The one thing you leave out of your calculation is the fact that you create a decent/good team that you also use for events, etc. You could make better teams with that currency, but they would have a zero return on investment if you ignore the fact that you use the team like you did for your assessment. Also, the kyrotech investment is relatively low compared to many alternative teams so you can make the Assault Battle teams while you are gearing high kyro teams. Have to assess the return from the assault battle team with the return from the alternate team you could have made.

I’m pondering building teams to get up to CT3 on the remaining ABs, have CT1 for all now. I haven’t built anything for ABs that I don’t get uses for elsewhere (other than inquisitors, which I’m still building). Never having to farm injector pieces is a nice bonus.

It feels like how people prioritized Jabba for the raid but on a smaller scale, like you are making a team for more resources but also getting one of the best teams. CLS would be the comparable example to assault battles

I'd argue no because mods can be moved from character to character and thus are always worth more IMO

I think there is something very important that you forgot to note about challenge tiers 2 and 3. Most teams built for Assault battles need only be Relic 5 at MOST in order to finish tier 3. Tiers 2 and 3 reward electrium conductors which aren’t used until relic 6+. Therefore you’re actually getting your return on investment a bit sooner though difficult to exactly calculate.

FO can WIN the Jedi assault battle, but they can't 3* it. And since that CT3 takes 40min+ with FO, it's really worth it getting your Sith viable to 3* that thing. I only recently managed that after getting Malak to R7.

Ezra and Kanan are so under rated here, especially for early low level accounts. They will get you up to the challenge tiers across three assault battles early game

The whole game is a slow grind, Assault Battles are a great way to get shard currency and any way to get more kyros is welcome. this game is a marathon not a sprint,exactly why assault battles are vital in progression, bad advice to say this isnt necessary to compete, like your opponent wont do these? poor advice
