they assemble the engines in a dusty room where they repair other trucks, with the assembly taking place on a dirty pallet. I wrote to them on the channel with the Russian language, so someone from this cantora even shamed me, supposedly I don't understand anything about it. in short, I wrote there and here I will write, my condolences to the owners of the engines

@brianwood74802 ай бұрын
@jdsstegman that is a question I would ask all mechanics: would you prefer studs or bolts on those critical main components. I prefer studs, but there are definitely pro's and cons for both. I'm fairly sure that he blew out all of the dead-end bolt holes with air. He's too conscientious not to do it. Cheers 🍻
@brianwood74802 ай бұрын
I've heard it called "hydro-cracking" of the block, too. And that's caused by pure ignorance (poor training) and/or inatentiveness. It's unforgivable on a beautiful engine like this which cost so much. But, he DID blow them out.

@dalewier97353 ай бұрын
@@ryanshearouse12 Does using the angle method mean that the bolt is torque to spec PLUS after it's torqued you turn the bolt another 90° or 180°?
@scallionboy86793 ай бұрын
@BigMACK1868 as mentioned he's using torque plus angle as it gives a defined clamping load in the parts, within spec of bolts used but that actual final torque applied to each bolt will be slightly different. This removes any issues with prevailing torque during tightening caused by friction in the threads and under bolt heads from interfering with the final result. So bolts are torqued in a defined set of steps then add say two steps of 90degrees for these cylinder head bolts (if I remember correctly for this engine). So you can use an angle guage or use visual marks. I service and repair powered bolting tools used for this type of work that measure torque and angle. Hope this helps
