I really liked how you talked about 700whp being the end of reliability and it's maintenance after that. When I had my Series White built last October my builder said pretty much the same thing and actually talked me down from wanting around 700whp into 500-600 range. Makes 509 @ 30 pounds with an IAG700 long block and BCP X500+ stock location turbo, a lot of fun on the street and is daily'd.

How did it last for you? Did you use oem head gaskets? I'm in the exact same position you were with my current rebuild. 550ish goal at this point and will be a daily.

That previous video of the build was great. I watched the whole thing. I would have liked you to explain that measuring to you were using and what you were writing down. U kinda convinced me that maybe I can build my own block but if you can make one where you explain what you were doing each step that would be really helpful. I know it takes a lot of time to do that but I think it would bring a lot more detail to your videos and younger Subaru owners like me might want to take on a project like that with your guidance

What causes the idle to bounce in 5:38? I tend to notice it more in classic muscle cars or hotrods than new tuners. i have always been curious. I love it
@DanielKellert
@DanielKellert 3 жыл бұрын
Bigger cams. Meaning aftermarket camshafts that have a larger lobe on them. It allows the intake & exhaust valves to pull in/exhaust more air than the factory cams, which in turn can make more power. That idle bounce he has is probably a combination of e85 with massive injectors, bigger cams & timing.

Thanks for the video. I’ve seen the use of fire rings that are installed into milled grooves in the block. Where does that fall in comparison to this head gasket with fire ring option? I believe they are used with a mls gasket but, I could be wrong. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong on that. Seems like the best of both worlds.
