I finally got my Obutto R3volution game cockpit so I can complete my racing simulator experience in the Man Cave! This first video will show my experience from picking up the cockpit up to full assembly. Tomorrow I will release a Part 2 which will be me actually gaming on the cockpit and fine tuning it! Mike, everything is adjustable including the back, you can tilt it all the way back and lay down if you want.

There was no weight limit that I could see but it is a real car seat so I would expect it to work just fine. I only weigh 285lb and I fit perfectly with a little room to spare so I think it could work for you. I would suggest trying to find some place where you could go try one out first but I can tell you right now out of all the cockpits I've tried this does have the largest seat and most configurable position.

Yeah assembly is tricky but it's a really solid unit once you get it assembled.

Thank you! Yeah I was shocked at how many parts there were and just how hard of an assembly it was. But if I had to do it again from scratch with what I know it would take 1/3rd as long.

It does take a long time to assemble. Mostly because I had to keep rebuilding the same sections to get it right.

Hey dude, discovered your vids like a week ago, great stuff man. I am about to order the revolution but i got a few questions: do you use a handbrake? Cause i just bought a handbrake and i wouldnt know where to mount that sucker on the obutto... worries the shit outta me. Also, did you manage to actually play FPS on it or does the wheel disturb your view to the monitors? Cause i wonna use the obutto for everything at one place, i cant imagine deinstalling the wheel everytime i wonna use the PC.

Yup, and then they cover it up so later on you take it apart and find stripped bolts and missing stuff.

Thanks for the video, very good quality! :) So are the parts powder coated or painted? You said they look like powder coated but the parts were still wrapped up so I wasnt sure?

I think it's just a really thick paint coat. It looks a lot like powder coat though just not as thick.

Delivered today! Had a friend helping with assembly we did it in about 2hours and half.. All the cables nicely tucked together ;) This thing will last a loong time now saving up for fanatec pedals (yes jerry you got something to do with it lol)

I just use it for sims, I have not tried FPS however with the keyboard tray I imagine it would be fine. Also I do not have a handbreak but I do want to install one. I would dill out the bar under the seat and mount it on that.

I honestly think the link is all that, I wasn't approached with an affiliate link until after I made the video so everything I say in the video is genuine. I also didn't receive any discount on the unit when I purchased it so what I say is true, it's a fantastic seat and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Assembly is a pain in the ass but other then that it's fantastic.

I've noticed when you are un-boxing or unwrapping you just try to rip everything off. I think as a tip or suggestion, taking off the tape keeping it together really helps A LOT, if it has any which it would most likely will. That will also help you keep neater trash rather than ripped plastic here and there and everywhere.

Just for information standard installation for nuts and bolts is. Flat washer against frame, lock washer then nut. Often no washer under head of bolt. Flat washer protects frame from lock washer.

Luckaly i got wooden floors here. Anyway, its pure awesome-ness. I am more in to flight sims the into race sims. Anyhow its the feeling of almost doing the real thing which makes my so happy. I am trying to decide between the Volair Sim (because it has a Aviation Panel option for saitek flight panels) and the Obutto R3volution due to its sturdier?? construction. But I have found no videos on IF or how easy/difficult it is to swap from flight sim to racing sim or Space Sim. Any ideas? wish I could find videos on this.
