He's not afraid to be vulnerable. That's a real gift. To just put what you have out there for everyone to see and ignore the critics. There are very few like him. It's really not easy to be THAT open with you ideas

I'm 13 and a month ago I watched this video and thought to my self that I want success and i will try so hard until I will get success and will not let anyone get in my way and say to me i cant do this or that, but I can, now I have achieving my goal, I am proud of myself for it and taking his advice, and go get it everyone... take his advice, and don't let anyone let you that you cant do it, because you can. you don't have to be talented to do it, it just takes work.

His work ethic is unmatched. Smith got out what he put in and is still to this day one of the most strong, talented individuals and has gone on to inspire so many others.

That line Will's father told him at 2:45, I remember he says something similar to that to his son on "Pursuit of Happiness".

2:31 Holy cow! There's this commercial I remember seeing once. It had these two black kids (between 8 and 12yrs old) being told by their father to build this wall. The commercial then shows them going through the process of laying the bricks, making sure it was level and all. And when the kids final finish, the father tells them don't ever tell me there's something you can't do. Damn, I didn't know that was about him. I'll try to find a link.

The greatest inventors in the world and the brightest and more intelligent people in the world all have something in common. They didn't listen to the naysayers and believed in their cause. Calling a person who's motivated an idiot for believing in his cause only motivates him more.

Its funny, I'm 34, and all throughout my youth I never had an idol. I'd hear about other people's and was asked "who do you admire?" from time to time. And yet now at my age and as of a few months ago when I first watched a different interview with Will Smith I might be able to answer that question.

he's exactly right, he's not an extremely talented actor, you'll never ever compare him to the greats. but he is an extremely successful actor and thats all due to hard work.
