thank you. a very thorough explanation. I have a subassembly inside of the assembly I'm wanting to mirror. Is that possible?

Hello, How Can I obtain a mirrored part respect a plane, and when the original part moves apart the plane certain distance, the mirrrored part moves symetrically to the original part respect the plane?

When mirroring entire assemblies, is there any way the relationship between both can be kept so that if a component of the assembly is repositioned it will do the same to the mirrored assembly?

Great video. Thanks for that. Can a frame generated handrail of 1 1/2" pipe be mirrored over a set of stairs and keep the mitered pipe together? I do it and the mitered end rotate 180 degrees from each other. I'm going to look for a mirrored frame generated assy video.

i mirrored the sketch then recreated the rail.

Great explanation of everything. But poor use of mirror. ALL other CAD software when mirroring parts on a changing design move and retain constraints (relations) as the model changes size. The fact that you are required to mirror assembly for the mirror components to maintatin reltaions is extra work. When you don't need another assembly inside your assembly. anbother case of overthinking it.
