I have this same one. After a year or two the plastic gets really brittle and cracks. So the front piece that faces the players, anytime a ball hits it prepare for it to crack. The backboard itself gets really cloudy too. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Hey just got mine up today. Out of all the hoops I’ve put together this was by far the easiest. Put on the wheels, Put poll in base then attach the two little poles, then add the four small bars on top to attach to the backboard, add long spring and bolt to backboard. Now attach the rim, small spring, cover, side/bottom pads, and boom it game time!

Yup, fairly easy, hardest part for us was filling base with sand 😂

Just to let you know that the locking pin for the adjustable lever is supposed to go under the bracket where the lever goes and not over the bracket

Every time you miss how do you get the ball back? As others have said low quality.

The misses usually fall into the net of my iC3 ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJXXnKd8gr2qgZIsi=mnZmW1r_2j0ijdAg ) and funnel down to the return ramp. I noticed If I hit the back of the rim it bounces up outside the net but the net catches most of the shots made or missed.

Had same model sold it to day for almost what my grandparents had baught it for me my homeowner's didn't let me have in the drive way what assholes so I had to have it a corner in my patio so I got tired and sold it . I want to see if ican get something ican wheel in and wheel out

Those HOA’s can be rough...I can’t have this out front either, luckily we have some space in the backyard for it although half grass/half pavers. Great for just getting some shots up tho.

It’s holding up well. But the backboard has hazed up and not as transparent anymore but still standing and enjoying it.

Good day @ Cdhugh Hgjbno , it is a 54” Spalding Polycarbonate, for its price when I got it ($220) I’m satisfied with it, but after having it for a while now if I were to go back I would pay a little more for an easier height adjustment mechanism like hydraulic lift or squeeze lever type. It takes a lot of effort to adjust height especially to its maximum height. And with the kids still young there’s a lot of adjustment going on with ours 😅

Good day Itsadrian5, just saw your comment, were you able to work it out, I too had trouble with extending the bars with the net on, but wit proper placement of the carbiner clips and extra force to extend the poles it worked out. Hopefully you resolved and enjoying your iC3.

how much sand did it take to fill the base?

We stopped at 200lbs of sand and still had some more room but mostly filled up already and put two bags of sand in top of base, if I’m not mistaken manual said can take or recommends 300 lbs of sand. It was a good amount of work to get it in. I suggest making a wide funnel or making the base hole larger and using a larger replacement cap like Oatey 3inch Gripper Plastic Mechanical test plug (you can purchase at a hardware store) to ease the filling of the sand.

How's it holding up? Looking to get one but I'm concerned about it being too wobbly

Good day QuaziMoto, so far it’s holding up well despite wobbling, it challenges us to swish our shots (to which we fail mostly 😂), satisfied with it especially at its price point. If I had to do it again tho, I’d probably look into getting one with an easier mechanism of adjusting height since my boys need it lowered when they shoot. This uses a pin you slide out and in after pulling the bar down, kids are unable to adjust when I’m not home.

Good day Brayy DaRealGoat:} , it took us approximately 3 Hours, could’ve done it faster but my help needed to do things in between our build. You’ll save a lot of time if you use water to fill base, or if u use sand, make the hole bigger and re cap with after market product at Hardware store.

Yes, what Amy said 😃, I even measured with measuring tape in sped up video towards end. May seem too high but I think it’s cause this backboard is 54 inches and a regulation backboard is 72 inches.

I just put mine together. The backboard wobbles a lot when you hit only backboard, it looks like yours wobbles too (albeit less than mine). I guess I need to tighten a few more nuts, but it seems like it's designed to wobble somewhat with how those screws/nuts go into the "arms"...

True, does wobble a fair amount when hitting backboard alone. I use it as motivation to swish it (which I’ve been unsuccessfully working on for decades 😂)
