Assetto Corsa: 1963 TVR Grantura Mk. 3 at Stardust

Most folks know about the TVR Griffith, and it was one of my favorite cars in rfactor's Historix mod, but I was unaware that the Griffith was literally a Grantura with a Ford 289 dropped in. The proper TVR Grantura mk. 3 used a 1.8 liter BMC inline 4 engine, balancing 160 horsepower on an 800 kilo body. Although it's not a legendary car with any major victories, it's pleasant to drive compared to the EXTREMELY challenging Griffith 200.
There was also an update to Sergio Loro's Stardust which, for a track out in the middle of nowhere, looks really nice.

I always appreciate getting more tidbits about TVR. It and Marcos seem to get left out in the cold compared to a number of the other British makes. (Yeah, it's the MGB engine.) The main thing with Stardust is the comparatively flat terrain. Both Riverside and Continental Divide were also out in the boonies in their day. And though not in the desert out in the West, Bridgehampton was also among the sand dunes. Have to feel for Jim Hall and Phil Hill, having the "flipper" rear wing on both Chaparrals go berserk during the 1966 Stardust Can-Am race. The video of it is just kind of surreal.

The race officials were afraid they'd break off during tech inspection, but Hall assured them even if they failed, they wouldn't break off. Although I'm sure Jackie Stewart's blood pressure shot to the moon while driving behind Hall.

The visuals in this video are great! It's a shame the head lining of the cars interior isn't more detailed.
