Hi Mike, thanks for reviewing our cars, just to update you on the BOP, we have all the GTE cars BOP'd to each other and are on real world times with AI at 100% (or very close too), if you have our other GTE cars you will find they are all very close in times.

Great video as always Mike. It’s funny, I have the opposite opinion on the way the cars drive. I find the Corvette really hard to drive, especially mid corner, but the Porsche perfectly suits my driving style, and it’s probably my new favorite car in sim racing. (I’m a sucker for any variation of the RSR) I agree the default setups could use some work, for all of URD’s recent releases imo, and the visuals could use some polishing, but these cars are a blast to drive.

To make the Porsche brake better, reduce the braking pressure to 80-85% at most, increase the preload (if it exists in AC), and increase the coast ramp a bit. Moving the brake bias forwards should help a lot too.

I know you can change preload within the drivetrain ini file but I don't know if you can do it in the ingame settup, probably depends on whether the modder added it or not

You did not make mention that the older three EGT cars receive BOP to put them in line with these two. You can get these updates on URDs discord. Also the Porsche comes with 2020, 2021 and 2021 sprint versions. There have been a few silent updates on both these cars so I would advise downloading again if you bought these when the cars first released. There should be some updates in the works for several URD cars in the coming week or so.

But is this a true endurance mod? Two cars from a class does not turn AC into an endurance sim, it needs a proper grid.

just an fyi the urd cars are much more accurate to the real cars on pace, the kunos rsr is more around the bop of the pre 2016 gte cars before they changed the rules to allow massive diffusers and much more high tech aero. It shouldn't be as close to the pace of the m3 gt2 458 gt2 and the gt3 cars as it is, around spa it should be 8 seconds faster than the 458 around spa, which it isn't. And for the porsche I'd recomend moving the brake bias forward 4-7%

Thanks dude! And no. I’m pretty dumb when it comes to graphics settings, so I usually just dial up the in-game settings as high as my graphics card will allow

Honestly I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to individual graphics settings. I believe what I have set is the default settings. Could it be contrast settings on your monitor?

Speaking of endurance, I wish there was a way to configure AI pit stops in content manager. I feel like Assetto is lacking in that department.

The only way I could make the ai stop in a race was by increasing the fuel multiplier, but yeah that's one of the worst parts about racing ai in ac, mandatory pit stops should really be a thing.

Nice video. Have you tried how well BoPed these are against other GTE cars from URD (Ford GTE, BMW M8, AM Vantage)? Would be fun to make AI race with all these on the grid, but not if the performance is all over the place.

I can't say I have a very expert opinion on this, but I've been running AI grids with all these cars this past week and no one car stood out to me as notably over- or underpowered in the field, and I've had some very fun races, mainly driving the Bayro/BMW against the rest.

You’re playing on CM ? These two porsche cars are way too fast, this c8r too but the bmw m8 and vantage gte are a little too slow.
