That was one of my qualms with the experience in the wet: I felt I had too much control early on in the session. As it rained more, it got less forgiving but I think there was more grip to save me than there should have been.

Please remember in an expo they keep the ffb at 3nm not joking on the simucube and simagic wheelbases .. As everyone was saying the ffb wheels settings were to low but for them being that low the ffb is great. The one person who adjusted was gamer muscle and his went crazy! He legit turned the dampening down ffb up and it was so so crazy. He said it was so much better then acc aftrr he adjusted it. Reminded him nore of ac. But they had all of these wheels set way to low look at how easy yall turned in lol. You should alwyas know at expos it will be set very low as you have to sneak settings by them lol. I was able to sneak adjustments by some people and let me tell you. Ac evo hqs so much better ffb then acc that it was kind of mind blowing. It was so direct with better tire feel and the suspension was amazing. I wish you guys got to adjust the wheelbases because they had dampening on legit evrrything with ffb set very very low. One guy checked the moza wheelbases and they were set to 2nm! 2nm! So yeah. Also this may sound weied but the fanatec dd+ rig with it on was the best stock feeling one due to settings but it still needed to be adjusted. But it was better then many other wheelbases because it wasnt set to 2 or 3nm

Exactly, this is what I was saying. I'll ask around today which settings they have. While 3 nm sounds low, I would not be surprised if this is the case. We have a couple of product tests behind closed doors scheduled for today, and maybe some of them are on Evo. And if they are, we'll let our resident engineer Ike go first and tweak around, and then we can enjoy what you enjoyed. Thanks for sharing!

@@WromWrom Others have been like ok its a blend of ACC and AC, but you really broke it down and what was interesting is you talking about the development cycle of the game.

I learned my lesson with ACC: bought it on the first day only to have 64 people racing 1 week later. I'm good 😏 I'll wait until a few months after its released to even consider getting it. No disrespect

If you're a big fan of AC1 FFB like me, -> turn FFB to "Linear Mode" and Road Effects between 38 to 45 % ( I use 43% with Fanatec ) and ACC gets same feeling. Tried it cause Aris stated AC1 & LMU FFB are oversaturated, when he tested LMU :) Thanks a ton for your trip to Expo. Really happy big LEDs at side of track turn yellow under yellow. Also cars behind you ingnite your cockpit so you get a natural felling how close sb is or where he wants to overtake. Massive immersion incoming

Yeah first I was like "Yayy they got FWD cars right" and later "or haven't they?" :D GM was pretty funny cause he changed ffb settings at wherlbase. After turning dampening off he was much happier :D Guess you're right and FFB was tuned down alot, so everyone can make it.

@@RonaldRegain anyway force feedback is an effect.. it have nothing to do with accurata physics calculation... I remove it all time time to check if the handling model is right or not...😉

The trailer says Early access program I think it is some kind of program which allows certain skilled sim racers to test it and help polish the final product

The fact that they've choose no to give you an option to turn off the TC and having the FFB at 2Nm might evoke aome concerns but I have seen a nasty aquaplaning and accurat TC engadgement. Before TDU SC I'd say ok it's alfa let's forgive it but then the final product was even worse. Anyways I trust Kunos so I'll wait till it's available to me

The Early Access Program will be most assuredly similar to what they did with Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione, where you could buy the software at a moderate price with the understanding there there may be bugs, even major ones. I'd be surprised if the do it differently this time. In fact, you can already wishlist on Steam.

Yes, an evolution (haha) on ACC physics, and AC with CSP feedback* AC FFB is not a shade on this out of the box

Have seen several videos of the game, and can't talk about handling and ffb, but as per the videos is a 10 out of 10 in graphics BUT (and this is weird) I found lack of sense of speed. The only way to have sense of speed was looking to the side window, I would say cause graphics are so "big" that till you pass the different parts of the scenario make it feel slow. Is a feeling though don't shoot me for it 😅

I was very much fixated on the FFB, truth to be told. Graphics can always be enhanced (kinda) easily. But if your physics engine is toast, there's a lot of work in front of you :-)

I expect it to work as well as any other sim, as I very much expect it to deliver the needed telemetry. Also. ImSim was allowed as of today to put it on their motion rigs. If there is enough telemetry for them, there's enough telemetry for you. And thanks for the kind words!

All the influencers were either caught up in the hype, desperate for a great new AC, or did not want to say anything negative in fear they won't get early copy of game later!

It is a wait and see for me and what people/reviewers think after official Early release. It is 3 months off before official release, so they can still do allot of tweaks based on the show feedback to Kunos. Only 5 tracks on release is kind of a turn off for me and seems to be only international type content. So far not impressed on the content of the game - being from the US and prefer more their race series (US tracks and cars). Will EVO have rolling/formation laps like ACC? That is missing in AC1. I hope their VR implementation is good in EVO. So again, it is a wait and see about this game. Thanks for the video and honest reviews.

You are very welcome! I'm not sure how much development cycle there is left until Jan 16th - but it will be early access on release like all the other sims they have published (well, I don't know about their first, I didn't know them back then)

Not my favorite, I agree. I find them driveable but there's better offerings out there. I agree at east with the sentiment. Never pushed a trolly full of brick so I can not agree with the experience :-D

As someone who deeply dislikes ACC physics, ACE is a breath of fresh air and is closer to RF2 than ACC to me.
