This game might not appeal to casual gamepad players because it focuses more on real car handling so driving on evo will naturally be more challenging, but if you've been adapting my ac settings or played ac competitively WITHOUT assists, this won't feel all that hard to ease into. This is why I always encourage you to learn to drive without assists, there will be a point where assists will no longer aid you and that time seems to have come, unless they make massive overhauls, which I doubt because this game feels closer to how I experienced iRacing on gamepad and that tells me they're focusing on accurate handling, which is a good thing (maybe not for some). Anyways, another reason I like evo is that my takes/feedback on the driving experience for gamepad mirrors what wheel players experience, so except for the steering speed dilemma, I have nothing to add but what wheel players have said about the game.

Thanks man! I personally think the game is really cool, even with the controller!

I cannot select "Properties" on an Xbox One controller, it's greyed out.

Are you sure you're clicking "steering" before you click properties and that you're on the xbox tab? I don't get this issue at all.
@NukeMyHouse4 күн бұрын
@ItsBlester Yep, did that and it worked. The game's UI didn't make it obvious that is what you had to do lol

Speed sensitivity changes the sensitivity at high speeds. Curvature at 10% smoothens the steering stick movements around the deadzone point. Steering Assist Weight is a mess and should be set to 0% at all times. Check my settings, maybe it will smoothen the experience for you :) I have a hotlap in a 992 on Mount Panorama with my settings and it works very well and is predictable.
@ItsBlester5 күн бұрын
I initially had curvature at 10, no difference for me between 5 and 10 and I'm pretty satisfied with my settings, i've done a lot of testing, as long as long as they add steering speed back, ill be happy but even then im having a blast.

@ yeah if they want to have a more casual audience besides sim fanatics, they should definitely change the way they handle controller settings. It’s wild right now but hoping for the best!
@ItsBlester5 күн бұрын
@@uSACRIFICE the wildness is pretty normal, it'll just take some time to adapt to it, we're used to easy handling.

I can't play cause the steering sensibility is to sensible do you know how to adjust the steering to be a little bit heavier
@uSACRIFICE15 сағат бұрын
@rodrigometelo4006 are you using all of my settings?
@marekkos351316 сағат бұрын
Just change Steering filter 50% , and Sterring assist Weight 100%.This is perfect for me.I see you have no controll of your car at all , because the speed of wheel is to fast ;]]

I have a full Fanatec rig, but sometimes you just can't be bothered to set up when you know you're only doing a couple laps. Was surprised how not-terrible controller was.

I wish they had trigger feedback, my biggest issue. Also some counter steer assist would be nice.
@ItsBlester5 күн бұрын
@mohammedaayanpathan trigger feedback is far too hard to code right. I once had the ps5 controller and it was horrible no matter what game I played, it was just random and distracting, all you really need is vibration.

why can't I select an item "PROPERTIES" on an Xbox360 controller?
@ItsBlester5 күн бұрын
not all items have properties, but if you're referring to the first 3, then I don't know. I use my mouse to get to it.

You have to click the setting on the list and then the Properties tab will activate, so you can access it.

The difference between Casual gamepad players and Experienced competitive gamepad players is the dampening/speed sensitivity settings you use, learning to drive with accurate full control steering will be much faster.
@ItsBlester2 күн бұрын
exactly, i say that but many dont listen and although is odd/out of your comfort zone at first, its so worth it when you master it, some controller players are just too lazy to change their driving style but are quick to complain about there not being 'the right' assists for them in the game. if only they dedicate some time to driving without assists, they're never gonna need any assists and can enjoy games out the box with minimum tweaking.
@xodex784 күн бұрын
short answer, it's terrible, you need a wheel to enjoy the game aight, that said,back to ac1.

Bro, I literally have uploaded a Mount Panorama hotlap in a 992 Cup in AC EVO on a controller. Not sure what’s NOT fun about that if you know how to use a controller with the right settings.
