I don’t want to drive production cars in a sim, I can do that in AC1…people want to drive actual race cars for the competition as they don’t handle like boats. For me ACC has the best graphics and physics, hard to beat that with the game as it sits now

I hope it’s great but i’m disabled and can’t use a wheel and pedal set up as traditional. I would essentially have to have a wheel with pedal functionality on a wheel ie Gas and Brake as triggers. While FFB etc is all per usual. Nothing exists on the market so I’d have to mod an existing candidate wheel and base. Not something I could do on my own. Controller might be possible but not great at all…

Thrustmaster SF1000, Turtle Beach Velocity or Logitech G Pro (and every wheel rim with clutch paddles) allows you to bind gas and brake to clutch paddles to use the wheel without pedals. If you are short of money, Thrustmaster have Xbox controller with a wheel instead of one stick.

I'm not sure about your disability but have you tried just a wheel with paddles? I have one with 4 on the back and I even tried driving it like that before fitting pedals. I used rear usually gear paddles for gas/break and two top buttons at front for gears.

Any wheel setup that has a dual clutch on the wheel will allow you to bind the gas and brake to the clutch paddles as they are analog. There was a guy last year that totally dominated his split of the roar before the 24 on Iracing using hand controls this way. Later that year he was racing a TCR for real in the IMSA series with hand controls

My question is, what's being offered that we can't get already. One game (Ring) to rule them all? AC1 already has tons of cars that nobody drives. Tracks that nobody uses. Servers that nobody joins. I'm still going to buy AC Evo, but not expecting anything for the first year of updating.

The modding sounds like it's going to be controlled and could turn some gamers like myself back to AC1. The idea of playing just console vanilla is not that appealing. I mean AC modding is what made this game possible.

More controlled = ripped content isn't allowed. Ripping is rampant in AC1. More than half of AC1 mods are absolute trash. Weeding out the good ones is work. If someone does that selection for me, I don't see that as a bad thing. Possibly also curated mods means auto-updates for mods

The difference is that ac evo will have much more gameplay elements than ac1 had. So it will most likely be much better vanilla experince. The modding is what it is, the rules has changed. I think the modding will become more creative in ac evo campared to ac1. And bringing maybe official mods supported by kunos could maybe mean it could also be avaialble on consoles. Modding will be important as always but the details around it is till quite unclear. Ac1 growed so much thanks to modding but i think it rely to much on mods for it to get a good experince. Ac evo seems to have a much better vanilla experince. The gameplay elements will be a major step-up from both ac1 and acc.

Why would they be developing VR for EVO with NVIDIA and Epic? They are dropping UE4... The new DX12 gives them full control over VR, while DX12 is optimised for AMD and NVIDIA VR hardware features.

unreal is the reason for the downsides of acc when compared with ac. the reason the original ac has superb physics and ffb is because its a kunos developed physics engine, acc sucks because its on unreal. evo is the next evolution of the original ac, acc is its own standalone game and is purely a gt3 sim.

acc is not in the evolution of this game. evo is the next step in evolution from the original ac, on kunos own developed physics engine. acc is on unreal engine(which is why the physics and ffb suck in comparison to ac) and is its own standalone gt3 simulator.

Where are all the vintage racecars, and other racecars? Who cares about a license of a shit car that comes out in 2025, they all shit. Graphics are not the priority here, and it's all they talk about. All graphics look good today and no need for optimization right, just enable DLSS and forget about it right? lol. none looks as good and performs as well as AC anyway. Same can be said for content, and I will be surprised if i can't say the same about how it feels and drives. We all know what the benchmarks in simracing are, if it doesn't improve, and just gives us bling bling, I'll be playing stuff that has gameplay and driving things I know work and are immersive and fun. Cruising trough Eifel in a 2025 EV is not something I am paying money for. No Capri, Pantera or 962 shorttail, no Shelbey Daytona or Lotus 72D or 49, no BRM , no Jacky Ickx, Nicky Lauda or Ayrton Senna ....... no racing! AC Evo starting to look more like a generic game for snobs, or a tech demo then a racing sim. Something like Forza, that lasts 1 year and not keeps going for a decade. They most likely will not allow mods as they used to, damage, brands under license ...... Seeing is believing, and I am worried.
