Carriage and Insurance Paid (CIP) - Incoterm Explained in Hindi

Carriage and Insurance Paid or CIP explained in detail in Hindi. CIP is an incoterm similar to CPT that is used in import-export business of any goods through any mode of transport. In addition to the responsibilities in CPT, the seller is also responsible for insurance in case of CIP. If CIP is used in sea transport, then it is mainly used for containerised cargoes.

@@AssetYogi One query.....Is CIP and DAP same in terms of the paper work for the buyer/customer? If my CIP price is say X & DDP Y then is this equation correct in terms of money? ==> X + Z = Y where Z is extra price on top of CIP.

As per your example given in the video, if CIP Shanghai is the incoterm then who bears the cost of freight and insurance. ??? 🤔🤔

C- carriage, so seller only responsible for Delivery pont. As u said carriage delivery point Shanghai port. In between anything happens seller will responsible. From Shanghai port to destination point buyer will responsible that freight and insurance and all.

It is seller's responsibility to pay for insurance not the buyer under CIP. Whereas, under CPT buyer is the one who bears the responsibility for the insurance.
