It's sad yeah. But honestly, there is always hikmah (wisdom) behind it. One of them is imagine what prophet Muhammad peace be upon him face during his da'wah to tauhid. He face persecution far greater than any caller to tauhid nowadays, he has the most perfect akhlak and adab yet still persecuted. So it's impossible to call for the truth yet didn't face any kind of backlash one bit. May Allah keeps us on the straight path aamiin

The dhikr after salah referred to in the question has been reported in a hadith reported by Abu Hurayrah from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “Whoever glorifies Allah (says Subhan Allah ) thirty-three times immediately after each prayer, and praises Allah (says Al-hamdu Lillah) thirty-three times, and magnifies Allah (says Allahu akbar) thirty-three times, this makes ninety-nine, then to complete one hundred says La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shayin qadir (There is no god except Allah Alone, with no partner, His is the power and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things) his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.” (Reported by Muslim, 939).

he is talking about people doing it in a congregation, not once have the prophet and his companions did a congregational dikr and dua after every fard prayer, they used to do the dikr on their own. Allah knows best.

It is sad because I am from Cape Town, South Africa and a revert. I thought it was normal but now Imam has mentioned that Dua after completing the prayers is bidaah. All the masjids and I mean all the masjids make Dua after the fard prayers. How do I stop this because my brothers and sisters are being lead astray and especially the youth? This is a major concern for me now and I am but a newborn in Islam.😢

I suggest you ignore them for now since you are a revert and make dua for them to stop. Then after some time when your basic in Islam is good enough you can try to change them. Because they will insult you in such a righteous manner that may make you doubt your own knowledge. This can destroy you. Basically gaslighting you will face.

I think innovations in Islam are more dangerous in the long term since ignorant people keep adding more rituals to it until they fall into Shirk whilst thinking they're worshipping Allah. Examples: 1. followers of Nooh (as) made statues of their spiritual leaders for remembering them but over the years they eventually fell into idolatry. 2. Descendants of Ismael (as) brought (with good intentions) statues of various false gods to Makkah and placed them in K'abah to attract the tribes that worshipped them (for pilgrimage)... Eventually hundreds of those statues were parked there and the worst form of idolatry was in full swing until Muhammad ﷺ became the last Prophet. 3. Today in many parts of the subcontinent grave worshipping is being practiced by more and more Muslims, because some sects started a bid'a some years ago that keeps introducing new sects and innovations. May Allah keep us on the right path, ameen.

[Muslim]. وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر، فليقل خيرًا، أو ليصمت‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏ I believe in the last day so i wont go around against something that was good and backbiting and losing all my good deeds in the process It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: A man said: O Messenger of Allaah, “So and so (a woman) - and he spoke of how much she prayed and fasted and gave charity - but she annoys her neighbours with her (sharp) tongue.” He said: “She will be in Hell.” So please lets defend our muslim brothers and not try cause fitnah
