The Basilica and surrounding buildings are an architectural and artistic wonder worthy of the Holy Saint who founded the Order of Franciscan Minors (OFM). I always wonder what Saint Francis would think if seeing the financial richness of the site in Assisi. I'm sure it helps local tourism and at least for that, I think he would be happy. And of course, Rick Steve's Europe travel documentaries are something people of all ages should watch! Be careful - you might learn something by accident 😁Thank you, Rick Steve!
