My inspiration with St. Francis of Assisi started in college circa 70s when I joined christian ministry in school under a Franciscan nun where I experienced visiting lepers in Tala Leprosarium, retreats singing canticles of the pious saint and watching the film "Brother Sun Sister Moon". Up to now in my senior years, the virtues of simplicity, poverty in spirit, love for less fortunates and rebuild my church still echoes in my heart.

Woah. When you talked about everything hanging by a thread in St. Francis' perspective, my jaw dropped with an audible gasp. That's seriously so amazing to think about and such a radical and otherworldly way to live. Thank you for your message and for your ministry! St. Francis, pray for us!

Thank you. I have had some bad experiences with some liberal Franciscans. They were bad for my family to put it bluntly. I have not wanted to think of St Francis, AT ALL, and I felt badly about that. I felt the tug to reconsider the man whom many people greater than me have held in esteem, but due to my prejudices I rejected it. I appreciate this because you helped me appreciate a person who was a most worthy servant of the Lord. St Francis pray for us.

Thank you for sharing your love of St Francis. On September 17, 2024 we celebrated 800 years from te day Francis received the Stigmata because he longed to be just like Jesus, to experience his pain, but more, to experience his love. Jesus loves us so that he doesn't want us tho climb to him, he wants to come to live in each of us, bringing all his gifts and love. Francis showed us how. He did what was his to do, and invited us to do what Christ gives us to do.
