It was supposed to be weird. The man was trying to figure out what was going on, but like many liquor store employees.....he is used to 'weird encounters'. The woman's strange dialogue was to tell us that she is not human. She appears to be a succubus....a female demon in human form.

It is certainly a choice. Not an especially good one though. I think it's supposed to be ADR as a reference to the bizarre audio of dubbed Italian horrors in the 1970s... But that reference seems to have nothing to do with the plot.

While I thought the man was a bit stiff, I have actually seen people...in liquor stores no less....speak in that stilted way when dealing with someone who 'might be off' in some way. The acting & dialogue by the woman is deliberate, she is not human....so she would act oddly.

I'm truly surprised at how many people don't understand this awesome film. But then, perhaps a lot of people don't read much about demonic lore. The woman is a succubus, a female demon in human form. They prey on human men. They sometimes seduce them first, but not always. They take their souls, their life-force out of their bodies. This 'woman' did just that, although it was done offscreen. She took the man who walked in, asking for the larger bottle of vodka. Then, when the clerk walks out, she takes him too. The folded shirt seemed to be a 'f-you' to whoever finds it, proving how powerful she is, like leaving a trophy behind. There are fun little *details* showing it was a demon: The name of the street: CHURCH STREET. The fact that the clerk is stacking 'LIL HEAVEN ALE' on the shelves when she walks in. This film was really clever, I loved it.

I just thought of one more: According to lore, succubi often don't start their attack in demonic form....they look human at first. Succubi (a demon in female form) are said to prey on human males...they sometimes rape them but often 'feed' on them....often through their spines & such. Ok---great attempt at a short video. But what the hell does it mean? And why isn't there an explanation by one of the writers, directors, or whoever to let us know what we just watched? Let's all just do a creepy first ten minutes of a horror short and then end it any place with some silly props and say, THE END! And when people ask what that means...don't answer or even reply with an "You don't UNDERSTAND?" "It's so obvious!"

While its never specified, I assumed she was a demon/succubus. And the assistance comment was to get him to come outside willingly. The shirt....not sure why but in legend the succubi "drain" the life from human men through their spines or backs of their heads. So she may remove the shirt for this reason, and folding it is just a head game against whomever finds it.
