Dental assistant in training here! Thanks for the video, it's super informative! How long has the assistant been working with you? and how long did it take for the procedure to run so smoothly?
@PivotDentalCompany Жыл бұрын
I've been a dentist for 26 years. It's always a work in progress. It usually takes about 10-20 patients with the same procedure before an assistant has it down.

I absolutely would not stand all day and to ask that of your assistants while you’re sitting is cruel. The only time I stand is if it is a hard to reach area for me. Assistant chairs are made to go higher than the operator for a reason.
@PivotDentalCompany3 ай бұрын
Assistant can choose to sit or stand. I don't make them stand. I'm not cruel. Plus, I know that an assistant chair can move up and down. Thanks for input.

And the dentist is proud that the assistant is standing.You know that it will damage or affect the body in the long run,right?That is why they don’t advise assistant to be standing and learning to sit down

Totally confident there was adequate isolation for that composite filling? Better isolation, better the filling, no? Looked like moisture could have got in their quite easily? Curious why rubber dams around routine for composite fillings.

Try starting working at a corporate practice instead of a private practice. I did this because they required little to no experience. Once you got a hold of the basics try getting into a private practice or dental temp agency.
