Associated Hoonicorn SR7 racing on GRP XM4 tires

I swapped out my worn Powerhobby Phantoms for a set of GRP XM4s. While they are definitely tacky, they seem to have a sudden switchover from grip to slide, there is no gradual loss of traction. Granted the day was HOT, lots of overheated cars so maybe this compound may have been too soft causing them to feel greasy? Still had a blast using them but will try a harder compound at some point during these heat waves.
