Maybe you should leurn to appreciate your friend instead of your enemy! Zacho is Kurdistan the land of Medes! The king of media destroyed asyria and was ordered by God because asyria destroyed the Temple Israel. Dara liberated Jews and send Ezra to go build the second temple! Asyria was a ruthless empire no wonder they disappeared! But the Kurdish Medes lives like Jews today! :)

@1aramaia Thank you for the informative reply. I enjoyed the Syriac there as well. @MrKolowski, Chaldeans also speak Syriac Aramaic. When you say "closely aligned with arabs/arabic" your implying that Chaldeans speak Arabic as the language of their nation. Both Chaldeans and Assyrians speak the same language, however their choice of words within the Syriac set of words would differ. Additionally Chaldeans generally prefer words from Arabic, and Assyrians would generally use words from Persian

Do not know If she is Jewish or not but She can be Jewish who lived within the Assyrian community maybe before the 1940s since a lot of them even married other ethnics and Assyrians. But one thing she is definitely not a Kurd or even speaking Kurdish.

Kurdish Jews - that is, Jews who lived in Kurdistan - never adopted the Kurdish language. They always spoke Aramaic, in a dialect unique to the Kurdish Jewish community. Indeed, it's not Kurdish and bears no resemblance to Kurdish, yet it's a language spoken by Jewish Kurds.

The fall of Nineveh shocked the ancient world. The Jewish prophet Nahum described the Median armies advancing to the city that had once ruled the Near East. An attacker advances against you, Nineveh.[...] The shields of his soldiers are red; the warriors are clad in scarlet. The metal on the chariots flashes on the day they are made ready; the spears of pine are brandished The chariots storm through the streets rushing back and forth through the squares They look like flaming torches

No these are the Nash Didan Jews. The Israelites were taken into captivity by the Assyrians in ancient times during what is known as the Assyrian captivity. You can read about it in the Bible. These Jewish slaves learn the Aramaic languages from their masters the Assyrians. When Cyprus the Great allowed the Jews to return to their land and rebuild their Temple. Some of the Jews stayed behind in Mesoptomia (Iraq). These people are the descendants of those Jews who stayed behind.
